saru88: hehe as u can see in the pictar... biggrin.gif

Blank19: bingo! rclxms.gif

kabuto rider kick: yup... its a life-size GTR, juz playing around with peace sign... sweat.gif

subaru22b: pls put spoiler when replying posts with pictures... thanks! smile.gif

i apologize for my delay on my GTR post, 'thanks' to the Mail Centre here in Kuching... doh.gif perhaps this is my most controversial purchase in my diecast history, but wat an experience! biggrin.gif hope its not too late to have another wave of GTR heat... sweat.gif i try to post it in chapters, coz the R35 is juz too photogenic, every angle makes the car look like an art... thumbup.gif definitely not a regret by purchasing this model...

saru88 & gha4 & quiksilve & myke: thanks guys! the car itself is stunning oredi, so no matter wat angle u shoot it, it will still look nice... biggrin.gif

kabuto rider kick: thanks! yea, i only use the glass surface for photoshoot on some special cars... normally lazy to carry the glass from the living room all the way to the wet kitchen... sweat.gif n yea, perhaps next online purchase is through express, oso better not to use TT transfer...

subaru22b: well, spoiler is to help u to make ur reply on post with pictures shorter, so tat u don have to scroll all the way down while looking at the pictures over and over again... juz highlight the image BB codes then click on the SPOILER on top... nod.gif

for example: pictures with SPOILER (it saves a lot of space) smile.gif
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

tkt: don think it will make its way here to malaysia since its specially produced for Japanese market only... even if so, i guess they will jack up the price to heaven! doh.gif

Chapter II: Special Features of the GTR

one of the best features is the much realistic looking opening hinges when u open the bonnet and boot, its a very awesome feeling when u can keep discovering great new features while checking on this GTR... biggrin.gif

on the 3rd picture, if u look carefully, u can check out this PREMIUM MIDSHIP at the back of the bonnet cover, which is a superb job done by Autoart regarding its detail quality... thumbup.gif

on the 4th picture, u can oso check out the CARBON FIBRE COMPOSITE written in front of the engine... i made a circle on tat part, hopefully its visible... this is another great detail work from aa again... rclxms.gif

more details, check out here: http://features.gtrforums.com/article.php?id=8

thanks guys... hope u enjoy the shots and hope the shots can inspire u sth, like owning one urself... brows.gif bout the red GTR, i saw one here, however its not my cup of tea unless its a Premium Edition, after all, Chinese New Year is over yo... laugh.gif

JtuneD: thanks and my oh my... i dono wat crystals are those, but this is the most expensive Maisto i ever seen! shocking.gif

quiksilve: same reaction as tkt, 2nd movie is out??? blink.gif

thanks guys! biggrin.gif

kabuto rider kick: well spot on the image bro! actually on the 3rd pic i was using my videocam to shoot, coz my digicam fails to take some very close shots especially on the GTR emblems... once i try to zoom in and focus the emblem, the image becomes blur... doh.gif as for the videocam manages to offer some great zoom-in focus quality, but the image quality is not tat good from videocam, so i try to increase the contrast to make look a bit "dirty" and "speedy" effect lor... nod.gif

JtuneD: wow... a whole box full of GTRs... shocking.gif this should be one pretty rare and valuable collectibles eh... the limited edition sure adds great value to the models... thumbup.gif u got it here from malaysia? blink.gif

Chapter IV: The Generations of GT-R (Part 1)

been waiting for these shots all these months since the release of the R35... drool.gif was hoping any makers produce the R33 in order to complete my modern GTR collection... blush.gif

thanks guys! glad tat u enjoy the shots... biggrin.gif

JtuneD: well, i have no idea why no 1/18 R33 is produced... perhaps the R33 is not tat popular among the GTR series... after all, Autoart and other diecast makers are mostly profit oriented... which car makes the most money, then they will produce tat car model...

fuminari: nice close focus shots... ur using DSLR?

QUOTE(leroy87 @ Feb 13 2009, 02:49 AM)
anyone have any idea what must i need to polish my diecast cars?
what liquid or what kinda cloth to use? thanks..
*
as for my case, i didnt use any wax or polish liquid coz i dono which one is good which is harmful... but i juz simply wipe them with soft tissue paper (Kleenex is better)... n i never leave my fingerprint on the car... i usually use tissue paper to carry the cars around... n use a moped to clean off the dust...

myke: thanks

Jasonist: what is a moped ah?
*
its a chinese brush pen... chinese we call MAO BI, so if change to english, the closest sound is moped, although its actually a scooter... laugh.gif

leroy87: havent heard any liquid... but wax will do... smile.gif

advocado: yea... i was told not to use tissue paper... perhaps cotton wool would be a great alternative to clean the surface eh... i only manage to spot the ER34 Sedan from D1 GP... its a 1/24 scale from Hotworks...

haha guys, looks like my plan is working! laugh.gif in fact, the black one i got it here in Kuching (unable to resist the black one at first sight!), as for the white one, i got it from online purchase, same as kabuto's... it was a controversial purchase throughout the process due to TT problem n custom issues... but i really wana thank REAL in guiding me throughout the process, n credits go to REAL n Mr. Lam! thumbup.gif

sorry for not telling earlier as i got the black one earlier than the white one... so couldnt reveal anything bout the white yet... secondly, juz to bring a little surprise here... laugh.gif

white GTR... go! biggrin.gif

Chapter V: The Godzilla Turns WHITE

the 1st pic, as u can see, DITAHAN OLEH KASTAM... tats the reason y i cant get the car before CNY... doh.gif so for online purchase, i suggest u not to use TT, use paypal or credit card instead... n visit the Mail Centre from time to time... coz the online parcel status never update... n u wont know tat ur parcel has arrived earlier than u think...

actually i got the GTR earlier this month, but it was consider long as the customs were actually not doing their job... the parcel was actually arrived on 21st Jan... n it juz sat there in the store room with no updates... until i went there and told them the parcel code they baru got it for me...

so instead of calling to the Mail Centre or check the online parcel status via website, its better to physically go to the Mail Centre urself and tell them the parcel code... let the post officers n custom know u, then things can be done a little bit easier... smile.gif

quiksilve: nice McLaren there... u might wana share it in the F1 Thread since its kinda quiet these days... sweat.gif http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/581026 well, bout the GTR maker, both are good in different ways... i like Kyosho for its interior and gun gray wheels... i like AA for its right hand drive and realistic opening hinges... juz seems tat Kyosho is producing the US version of GTR...

hokuan: nice haul and nice shots! biggrin.gif it sells around 145 dollars in the Australia...

QUOTE(quiksilve @ Mar 29 2009, 08:49 PM)
poisoning GTR's indeed.

I wished AA did the drilled disc brakes on the GTR. Was shocked when i got my pearl white GTR and realized the discs wasn't drilled through just like those AP racing disc on older subaru rally cars.

Guess need to drilled D.I.Y. style.
*
interesting stuff there... gotta be very careful in disassemble the tyres le since its an aa... biggrin.gif

more GTRs shots...
