hey all watch enthusiasts out there, i just got my omega 300M chrono diver (caliber 1164),i have a question about setting the date correctly,may I know what is the correct & safe way of setting the date on my watch please? I've tried setting the date on position 1 by turning the crown forward as what is written on the manual, but it doesn't seems to change correctly. What will be its date change interval?

Hmm .. just make sure don't change the date during 8pm to 3am as it may cause damage in the movement.

How do you know is am or pm? Very simple, wind the hour hand and observe the date, if it changes when the hour hand pass 12, then is am. Otherwise it is in pm mode.

thx for the reply bro, die la then, i once set the date in the morning when i dunno whether the watch recognizes am or pm, anyway i've tried to wind the hour hand and hoping the date will change, but after 2 cycles of "12" the date still didnt change, is there any problem with it? FYI, caliber 1164 is a weird 1....in order to wind the hour hands clockwise, i'll need to wind the crown anti clockwise, dunno whether izit normal or wat. Alrite,i'll post some pics of my baby when i'm back home

Ok, just sent my watch back to Omega....the watchmaker says my case(date wont change according to 24hr cycles) shouldn't happen,might due to some mechanism stuck in between or wat. Sigh.....sad,just bought a new watch and it gives me this problem adi,i'm afraid dat the mechanism is broken or wat....so i sent bek for warranty, just to ask u guys' experience whether izit possible to ask for 1 to 1 exchange cuz it's still new (1 month old) and i seldom wear it?

dont think u can exchange 1 to 1 on the watch,when my BRAND NEW omega chrono crown fall off, not even wear it once... judt took out shake shake touch this touch that and the crownfall out , they say no exhange, just send for warranty( ~1.5month)

1.5month?! it's already 1 week past, still no news about my watch from omega.....

My Rolex is the one rare faces where rolex only produce 100 purple faces. Besides the machine is self winding(not automatic machine).

I read in the internet its cost more than buying in malaysia because almost 95% of the watches are exported plus their cost of living is way higher than in london ... can anyone vouch it?
