QUOTE(busyra @ Feb 11 2009, 09:53 PM)
By the way, to smliu. Masa u ambik easter dulu mileage brp? Mr Lee cakap keta i dia kena gi amik di Ipoh (drive), apa yg i faham tak ada trip bawak easter tu ke SP??? Dah tu dia cakap nanti dia servis first 1000km dulu sebelum i ambik (lebih kurang katanya mileage dah pakai 6,7 ratus, nanti i pakai seminggu dua dah nak kena datang servis lg, so dia akan servis awal. I takut keta tu keta test drive kat showroom lain ke (sebab keta i stok lama harga rm79,800). Any advice?

No worry! Sebab u bolih test drive bila kereta datang. Ask Mr Lee to take note apa salah bila dia drive dari Ipoh; dia bolih test drive utk u sebelum u test drive di SP. Kalau sudah 7 ratus km, bolih service lah; I pun service bila 7 ratus lebih km. Bolih tanya Mr Lee sama ada kereta 2008 atau 2009. I pasti 2008 stok dah habis lah. Kalau dia bagi u 2008 model, u bolih reject.
Cheers Busyra!

Just got those bulbs, H1 and H7 are from OSRAM nightbreaker, all together RM210. Will try to get the SC to fix it for me later this week...

anyway, found another function on this Eastar, if you left the low beam switch "on" and then switch "off" the engine (with the key extracted), the moment you open the door, the system will automatic switch "off" the low beam automatic...smart!

last time during CNY, I was driving 150++ and I already felt scary...no to mention 220km...walau-eh...engima...bila mau TT-ler?
*

Wow! What a good bargian for H1 & H7! Dynasan, where did you get them? Can other members get the same price from the shop you bought? I got both Philips X-treme Power; more expansive(RM450) and yet only 80% more light according to spec whereas Nightbreaker is 90%. I am sure you will like it; turn the night to day! It is for safety night driving.
Good finding and excellent piece of info! The car is very well equiped. thumbup.gif thumbup.gif thumbup.gif I love my Eastar.
The car can easy reach 160km, but I used to cruise around 120km/h. Hey guys! Safety First!

Got the bulbs at PH Auto, SeaPark PJ (same row with Ayamas). I think it should be a standard price. Just got it installed at the PJ SC and it's seem to be brighter than the original one...well will only confirm when I fully tested it at night.
Saw two badly damaged Eastar at the SC...one with both airbag deployed...will try to post the photo later...
Now waiting for my 5k service done, maybe after lunch as they're trying to get my SRS repaint....after all those scratches....
*

When you flash the high beam(H1) during day time, the car in front will respond to you immediately. If you travel on East-West highway at night, you will see details on the road and by the road side(of course cannot see the ants on the road lah, haha). These bulbs are very effective.......
I have confirmed the front fog light bulb is HB4 but only Philips X-treme Power HB4 is available and yet very expansive RM250/pair. If you find better/cheaper source(maybe available by PH Auto), please let me know. Thank you Dynasan.
Too bad for the two damaged Eastar....we must observe safety rule always.

from the conversation with the mechanic, they suggested to use HID for fog lamp as the price nowadays is about 200++, maybe I'll check out at some accessories shop here....
anyway, I'd just call PH Auto, the price for HB4 Philips Vision plus is RM95. No stock for OSRAM nightbreaker.
*

Good idea to use HID too.....Thanks for the trouble checking for me!

Tq bro.
Td saja ronda-ronda ke Penang, bila dah pecut laju-laju, tetiba tambah lagi satu irama selain krek-krek, ketik ketik ketik pulak dah. Bunyi cam benda longgar, skru ke apa ke ntah le. Kalau pasang radio kuat-kuat tak dengar lah...  (Teringat Waja i dulu pun ada bunyi mcm tu) tapi disebabkan bunyi-bunyian tu semuanya i dah ready utk menghadapinya, tak lah tension sangat. Cuma bila org lain yg naik cakap itu ini, compare ngan keta tu keta ni, sakit hati tu ada gak... rclxub.gif

Sebelum ni i memang tak pernah terniat nak pakai keta putih, coz tahu dah cepat kotor . Hitam pun i tak nak sebab kajian menunjukkan keta hitam paling banyak kemalangan. Dua keta i sebelum ni colour silver. Nak eastar warna silver gak, tapi disebabkan nak yg harga RM79,888 (silver tak ada) terpaksa amik putih (warna lain lagi tak minat)...  Baru basuh pagi, petang dah kotor balik (hujan)... Letih la kalau macam ni. Kengkawan yg pakai snow white / mystic black basuh hari-hari ke???  sweat.gif

Added on February 22, 2009, 9:34 pmAnd macam yg selalu dibangkitkan... Bau dari luar ni, ada idea ke nak wat mcm mana? Kalau time lalu sebelah restoran KFC tak apa la jugak, tapi time lalu area longkang busuk, ikut belakang lori / bas... tak tahan bos. Anak saya pun bising-bising kata busuk... sad.gif

Good morning everyone! Happy Monday!
Kereta baru tu memang senang kotor, kereta saya pun sama. I observe there is a layer of powder on the surface in many areas. U need to wash the car a number of times or send the car to polish for once(the best). After that, the condition should be better. Secondly, when all color car expose to same weather condition, they will be dirty the same way too. The only thing white color of obvious than other color ya! Nothing can be done, rajin sikit lo! I use Turtle Wax "ICE Polish" to polish once and wash my car with "ICE Car Wash". The car has a polymer coating on the paint; it will not get dirty easily and easy to wash away(less effort when u wash yr car). Get a car wash brush with 2feet handle for MPV/4X, it is easy to wash the car with it. Ini lah saya buat utk White Eastar dan ini cadangan saya.
For the smell that get into the car, anyone has suggestion? We have many cases reported. Can Chery SC do anything abt it? Anyone solved this problem b4 either by yourself or by Chery SC?

Anything to do to those clips, please ask the SC to do it because some clips are not replaceable. They attach to the plastic part itself. Like those two plastic part infront the wind screen. When the service foreman opened up those plastic, most of the clips broken; left one on each side and they are not replaceable unless the whole plastic part is replaced. I have to claim these parts from HQ SC during my visit in March.

Wow, from the web site, people really put lots of effort to bring down the noise level. But those plastic parts are too fregile for us to handle here.

Guys,

Mine also have the same problem with IlmanDeena. Every time went through "lopak air' sound kreek2 came out. I believed that it's came from AC or FAN belt down there. Need to ask SC to lookout this problem.
One more problem that i face, once i shake my car from outside or whenever back or front passenger went in the MPV,krek-krek sounds came out from the back of MPV suspension  either spring/coil ? Sounds like 10 yrs old carlah. GERRRAMMM. Any comments MR. Enigma ??
*

Firstly, just tighten those belts will solve the problem. I have just got it done today. Secondly, this MPV is meant for 7 persons. When the car is not loaded or fully loaded, you will have this type of sound. No big issue. Just take it easy.
I happened to full load my Eastar during Chinese New Year once, what a surprise! The car is so stable and so quiet; yet is it still so powerful. Superb! thumbup.gif thumbup.gif thumbup.gif
Gogogo Eastar!

I sent my Eastar to CARS polish this afternoon, you know what guys! So many people admired my Eastar. One Malay lady was attracted to it and came to ask me. She said,"you car looks very beautiful and very rare, must cost more than RM200K, right?" I told her it is only slightly above RM80k, she was surprise and started to have the idea to change her T. WISH(<3 yrs new CBU) to Eastar. Wow wow wow....what a good idea! A totally new model, new car but much cheaper price and yet lower loan now a day.....save a lot of money huh! Smart lady who know how to deal with this type of economy situation, right! rclxms.gif

Hi Jimmy, if I can remember correctly, RPM stay below 2000rpm at 110km/h. At such speed, fuel consumtion is around 17~18cents at current petrol price for distance driving. I am very happy with the performance for this MPV.
I will take a close look at the RPM when I drive to KL mid March.

Color is a very subjective topic. Important thing is the owner like it. Very nice two tone color! thumbup.gif
Me too! I am ordering the spare remote key from HQ and they are trying to duplicate one set for me. Have to send the car to SC to program the key code. When we think back, we don't really use the spare key at all(for me); just need to spare incase.
Alternatively, we can duplicate the remote control at the outside store and attached it to the spare key. If this way is possible, save all the trouble and save money too. This idea only came out after I have made my order; I did not try b4, ya!

Added on March 1, 2009, 1:15 pmFor your information, I've checked experts. Small hardware store not able to duplicate this remote comtrol. Whereas, some key smith chain stores can do that; maybe they have the better equipment/facilities.
Anyone has this area of information, can share your experience.

Good morning all.
About the remote key issue. I did made inquiry from Chery HQ when I got my car. According to them, there is a cut off date for 2 keys and 1 key associate with the car in end 2008. During the cut off production, some got 2 remote keys and some got 1 remote key. For 2009 model production, definitely will get one remote key and one spare key. For those 2009 model onwards, no choice. I hope this issue would not be confusing to car owners.

I agree with Drom, owners should check the aircon situation because the location is not noticeable. Thanks Drom for such info.

Thanks smliu kerana telah penjelasan u telah melegakan i. Cuma satu lah, pasal roadtax tu, ada yg RM550, ada yg RM730. I ada tanya kat delaer kata diorang yg CBU from China roadtaxnya RM550, dan yg CKD di Malaysia RM730. Betul ke mcm tu? Dan nak tahu gak, adakah yg roadtaxnya RM550 tu utk thn pertama je... atau sampai bila-bila. Kalau sampai bila-bila memang tak fair la... Member siap kata kami kena tipu coz katanya semua harga roadtax sudah turun... kami diam je la, malas nak layan. Any information? hmm.gif
*
[/quote]
No worry Busyra, road tax memang show RM730 tetapi u dapat rebate bila u bayar total kos kereta. Semua ni jelas dalam kos detail. For further detail, check back with Mr Lee sama ada rebate itu sudah di tolak. Road tax bukan turn, cuma utk buat sementara sampai March ini(semua kerata dpt rebate kan?). Lepas tu, ada turun tak, depend on JPJ decision on April; tak tahu lagi.

Salam and good afternoon everyone,

I had a new problem with my MPV. During this raining season, i just notice that there is a water leaking into bonet area. It is between back door and end of MPV roof.
Did anyone had a same problem as what i had ? Chery ALADO... is there is any explaination... ?
*

It is also luck to buy a car. My friend bought a Altis and facing the same problem but the problem come from front wind screen. No choice but have to go back to SC to rework. Sorry for what you are facing.
As long as problem can be solved without much difficulty, take it easy.

thanks guys for the key info, any idea how much is the cost to make the spare remote?just did tinted to my car today at master tint behind tesco puchong, total bills come up to rm1000 fo the whole car, heat reduction 85%.park my car tis afternoon outside my porch to test and it really does cut the heat.my leather seat n my dashboard dont feel hot as b4. rclxms.gif  rclxms.gif

This is what Chery quote to me, for your reference.
a. Blank key = RM 77.80
b. Controller = RM 63.88
c. Computerize Programming = RM 50.00
Total = RM191.68
Further, I have checked with one of the lock smith chain store. According to them, their epuipment confirmed able to duplicate the remote comtrol but still need to to confirm with the car whether it works or not. To their experience, some car alarm system will reject any duplicated remote control; not original. Since I ordered from Chery, I did not try.
If I did not ordered from Chery, I will choose to duplicate outside because it is just a spare key. Only RM55~65.
Have a nice day.
