Guys, clean yr car, clean the wind screen? Remember to clean yr wiper ruber plate. There are tons of insect wax, fuel/oil residue, dust collected. The dust combines with wax become sand paper. A way to protect your wind wcreen from being scratched.
happy Sunday!

Added on June 7, 2009, 11:42 amDingolon, MPV of this spec and price is value for money. Don't worry abt the interior problem, warranttee for 3 year and let the service center handle any problem you found with the car. Few new cars I have seen, the interior has been improved. Mine was Jan'09 and those problems are acceptable to me and already solved. Spare parts is unbelievable cheap.
In facts, I enjoy driving this car very much and most of the owners love this MPV. I am going to Kelantan today and I love driving Eastar along East-West highway; updown the mountain like a cross country without sweat.
Finally, same word: Value for Money...The Eastar! Hope you will have the same "Fun Mechine" as we do.
Gogogo Eastar.

Guys, just came back from Kelantan. Very hot weather and luckily, Eastar aircon is cold enough and the "wet cloth" help to cool down the cabin. Too many cars on the road this holidays season, saw one white Eastar(WSCXXXX) along Pasir Mas to R.Panjang, I blow the horn. And another clay Eastar on E-W hight mountain range(I flashed the light), she is heading Kelantan and I am heading Penang. So, happy to see these Eastar family members on the road. If you also see me, just say hello!

The dealer SC at SP accidentally charged me labour fee @ RM20 for my 1st service. And I got my rebate during my 2nd service. I would say....very very cheap.

Aiya! What if what if what if.....? Oh, I'd quickly pull a pillow to the front to act like air bag loh. So, what if you forgot to wear yr pan while driving and a police stop you ah? hmm.gif tongue.gif
Guys, do u know the safest way you car is? Just pack it at the packing lot, don't drive! Hmmm! Good idea, right! icon_idea.gif

Cemat, get a bigger car, MPV is a better option for yr family and Eastar is value for money. Test drive and see how would like it. For most of us, we love Eastar; both driver and passengers.
Not only power/torque, Eastar has been in EU & USA market for more than 2 yrs. Safety issue is assured. The chassis design is crossover and based on the bullet train concept. This improve the passengers confort even 6 of them.
Hope you will like Eastar like we do!

Does anyone know how much it will cost to have all these minor issues (loose panels, etc) and extra insulation (including covering all them holes) if we send it to an accessories shop instead of DIY?
Any shop that had done a superb job on Cherry Easter in KL/PJ/Selangor?
I believe this would be of great help to those deciding on buying CE but hold back due to "incomplete assembly".
*

One the insulation portion, less than RM20 will do the job if want to save cost. But the std covering the 8 holes on the chassis need 8 pcs of rubber plugs which cost abt RM40(This is optional). If extensive insulation, it might cost more depends on individual interest. This is the same like choosing audio system for yr car; might cost few hundreds to few thousands even more than ten thousand for those rich and famous, right? For loose panel, it should be FOC if it is done at SC. As for accessaries shop doing insulation, pls check with Puchong branch. I was told the accessaries shop they are using at Puchong is offering such service.
We prefer DIY bcos it is so simple to fix them. icon_idea.gif
Hope this information will help u and others.

There are few Eastar owners in KL are professional in DIY now. I am sure you will meet them this coming CMC gathering.

Added on June 10, 2009, 9:36 pmI don't know the contacts at Puchong but I am sure some members here will give you the information soon. Cheer!
I have been a passenger for the "car" you have mentioned. I found that after CE DIY, the sound proof is better than that "car". I noticed the "car" has more plastic clicking noise at the door sides. This is my personal experience; no obligation.

anyway thank for the advised, i just want to test the feel, my family is no. 1, where r u going this weekend? i'm going to PD on saturday,,,makan angin with my lovely family, i will keep the speed limit btw 110 to 120km/j, just like u,,,,heheheheheehehe whistling.gif

Those 8 holes are located just below the door, underneath the chassis. 4 on each side align in straight line and they are 1in in diameter. So, if you can find the rubber plugs size 1in, just plug into the holes. Refer to photo for more detail. Moncheh, if you still need help, join us at.....email me smliu@streamyx.com.

Oop! QQme could be very cute. Don't you think a bit confusing? A car with front & back head lamps! Will it confuse the rest of the car on the road? Well, since they got approval for production, shouldn't be problem I think.
Very artistic design! icon_idea.gif rclxms.gif thumbup.gif

Dear all Chery Eastar users,

I am a new member and this site was given to me by the CE Agent. I tested the car and still have some doubts especially the engine, stability, road worthiness, maintenance, spare parts, after sales service. Therefore, I am checking with all the current users on the CE whether it is a good car after all.
*

With little bit of DIY, I am feeling like driving a luxury MPV now. With the price tag now, no MPV of this class come close to Eastar. Value for money, worth buying.
I love my Eastar! icon_rolleyes.gif thumbup.gif rclxm9.gif
