QUOTE(azazza71 @ Apr 6 2009, 02:46 PM) Salam and good afternoon everone., Would like to ask, is anybody has done wheel alignment for our MPV at outside shop ( other than SC ) Mine,it's alignment more to the left. .. Is the shop suggested to fix additional "adjustment screws" for both side front wheels. I have done my P2 and P brand car before and they ask me to add additional 'adjustment screws" with reason easier to do alignment next time. Anyone have done alignment before ?? Is those screw necessary?? I have done my alignment after I changed the tyres. I called up my friend who own tyre shop regarding this problem. He said new car no need to fix such screws because under warranty. Fixing the screw might viod the warranty for absorbers. This screw is needed only when the car "masuk lubang besar dgn laju" causing mis-alignment; the wheel is bend or damaged. His advise is do not fix this screw and it is not necessary to do so either. |

Very good & experience salesman wouldn't sell new brand or un-popular car. The one who read book when ppl approached is likely to be new in sales(just guess)
How about asking the company to promote the car using single level marketing? Every Eastar owner who introduce someone to buy the car get one time introduction commission. As owner is not salesman, he/she must pass(refer) the potential customer to company sales representative to proccess the deal. Once the deal is done, this introducer is paid off respective amount. In this way, Eastar owners will be more than willing to introduce/share the MPV to more friends and the company will not have to employ so many salesman. I am sure this will be win-win situation for both Chery and Eastar owners. Chery sales manager, what do you think about this proposal? Can you consider this proposal and get the management approval? I am sure all Eastar owners will start work immediately once they know they will paid for introducing Eastar to others. Hope this idea will works. Gogogo Eastar! |

Actually, no complication at all. We just act as introducers(to advertise, introduce and bring in customer) and we still need salesman to complete the processing/registration job and services. It doesn't mean to take over salesman job and service. We act only the front liner. Of course, this is just an idea to help up the company to push the MPV in the market. Whether it works or not, still depends on the company.
In this competitive world, many forms of business already adapted to this type of marketing method. In banking sector, e.g. Citibank is reward customer who bring in customers to them. In business marketing, it is important to know "what is good for me?" Rewarding customer who bring in customers to the company is now a marketing trend even big coorperation like Citibank is using it. It works and it works very well because it only bring more business to the company and it means no harm to the company. This idea is brought up because whenever I go, people keep asking abt the MPV. And I am introducing 3rd buyer now to my salesman(going to close the deal soon). As we drive the Eastar around, we are the role model and testimoniel, we might meet the right(potential) customer! But I am aksing myself " what is it good for me?" Nothing?! Why should I continue doing that? If the company buy this idea & use this strategy, the sales will increase. The is a will, there is a way! It depend on whether what you choose. This post has been edited by smliu: Apr 7 2009, 04:29 PM |

Sorry guys, the whole idea is to practise it officially; not through some generous salesman only. Only through official arrangement, the practise will push Eastar into market fast. Unofficially, if some generous sales willing to share part of his commissions, it should be good too. But different salesman has different practise(as seen from above comment), it should not have any arguement on it.
It is just an idea, still have to get for company approval. Anyone can bring this matter to Chery management? Ken? |

To my understanding, wheel balancing and wheel alignment is nothing to do with SC. It is part of wear and tear of the car. All cars SC will ask owner to do it outside; it is normal. The truth is most cars SC do not equip with alignment instrument. This include Honda, Toyota, Mazda, Proton & etc. Why people keep asking Chery SC to do alignment! Steering jerking at certain speed is due to wheel balancing problem(not alignment problem) and again this is wear & tear, not SC responsibility.
Unless the new car is under 1000km, the warranty no longer valid after 1000km for wheel alignment. Even though under 1000km warranty, SC still need to do the alignment outside. So guys, hope we make clear this point and have better understanding. |

Wow! This forum sound politic now-a-day; no more "space" for Eastar owners to solve problems. Politician also come here to make noise. Better keep quiet or quit! ISA still enforce......no joke. Bye bye!

When I did the last alignment, my friend told me that only front 2 wheels can be adjust and align. The rear wheel is fixed(locked). So, when we go for alignment, only 2 wheels alignment cost is charged. Hope this info is useful to those who did not know abt this.

Lan70, when I decided to buy Eastar, I know I am going to love it. With the price, I know I have to live with problems unexpectedly. It is fortunate that there isn't many problems so far. I personally love to hands on to my car. So, when I find problems, I like to find ways to fix them. The more I get my hands on the car, the happier I am because of self satisfaction and the more I love my Eastar because I know better of it. I become part of my Eastar.
This forum is good for all of us who own Eastar. We share joy(see those photos our friend CNF posted!), highlight problems, seeking advice & solution and everything abt Eastar. Mr P and some good members are so caring. Of course there are things can be done and some cannot. Some problems can be solved immediately and some need time. See, once problems brought out, so many members are trying to support and help. As long we talk abt Eastar, this is the place. Don't give up. I Love My Eastar Everyday! |

How nice if Eastar is fit with Acteco engine. This is a famous engine in Chery. Acteco means A-Austria, C-China, Tec-Technology and Co-Cooperation. It is a combine technology from Austria and China. And also ECO means economic and ecology(eco friendly). Acteco engine is very well accepted by the west; US and EU.

For those who think the local Chery Alado web site is not impressive enough, maybe can refer to cheryglobal; http://www.cheryglobal.com/v5/360.asp?focus=1&car=v5. This site is more informative but some spec is not for M'sia version.
Impressive enough, the FC claim by factory is 8.8L/100km @ 90km/h. At M'sia petrol price of RM1.80/l, the FC is RM.1584/km. Just info sharing. |

If a car selling 200~600k don't have excellent web site, how can it be! What is the price for the cheapest Lexus? If Eastar sell more than 200k, I think Chery Alado won't mind give the best web site features. Anything you want, just name it! How about test drive the car over the computer?
Sometimes are we asking too much leh! |

Just adjusted both the fog lights level so that they shine on the road. The fog lights was too high and not able to see the road when switched on. Much better now! Haha...always try to find something to hands on my Eastar. Feeling so good!

Do you know 25% of world's televisions are made in China? Do you know 50% of camera are made in China? Walmart buys U$18billions annually from China.

Adjusting the front fog light level, 1st pull out the black plastic infront the fog light, from the front "bumper". You will find a gear like object behind the fog light set; you can only see half of it from left or right. Use a screw driver to move the gear down to lower the beam level or vise-versa. Adjust the level best for you. Fix back the back plastic when done.
No photo guys, this is a very simple procedure. For those who like DIY only. |

Proper light aiming is very important and effective for driver's safety. Follow Light Aiming Guide provided by PIAA: http://www.piaa.com/Lamps/LightAimingGuide.html
I love Eastar's head lamp and fog light, they are so beautiful and effective. |
