Went to SC at SP to replace my fog light. Cost RM126+20. Very fast, 1/2 hr kautim. Maybe hit by small stone, the glass broken. This is the price to pay for when driven at high speed. Anyway, it's lucky to get the replacement parts easily.

When I was in PJ SC last Monday, I heard one relevent info for those fit with spoiler. According to info, there were already 8 cars rear screens broken. All of them fit with spoiler. One of the possible reason, those which fit with spoiler, people used to close the back door by pulling and pushing the spoiler. There maybe some other reasons, we might not know but all happened to those cars fit with spoilers. Anyway, those fit with spoiler, just take care the rear screen.

I agreed with you guys, Chery Alado need to improve its service and the company is trying to.....It is not easy to establish a totally new company/products with service outlets in all states. This is no easy job, pls give them time to do it.
If you guys can remember, the actual price for this Eastar is around RM90K. We are getting it for abt 7~8K discount. You know what, the discount is for the launching into new market; for people willing to give it a try and we should bear all this inconveniences.
We, as customer want what we want but I prefer to work out with the company give and take.
When I sent my car to PJ SC last Monday abt 10.30am with appointment made, I left my car there and went to shopping with my family. I counter checked with the SC when is the car will be ready and I took a taxi back to SC at the time when the car is ready. In this way, there is no need to waste time waiting at the SC. This way of arrangement is for reference only.

Within 70km is safer side to refill the tank. According to user's guide book, once the indicator blink, the remaining fuel is less than 10L(if 1L can go for 10km, we can get 100km but this is not the case for our car) and it can go up to 70~90km depend on the driving habit. I notice that the indicator does not align to the lowest indocator line when we off the switch. This is where the tank really empty. Not like P brand car, the indicator can go far below the lowest line. My experience tells me never delay the refuel and try to go further milage, it won't work. shakehead.gif

ps: when my car ran out of fuel totally, the refill was RM147 @ RM1.8/L or abt 75L. If 25cents/km for city driving, means we can have 588km or if 19cents/km calculation for long dist driving, means we can get 770km b4 coming to FULL STOP.

You are right, we love our eastar. I have 4 members in a family and the 3rd row of seats is seldom use. So, the 3rd row is always fold downward and I bought a carpet to cover it.The carpet can protect 2rd row seat from being dirty and accumulate dust. It looks flat and nice too! nod.gif

The company is not ready to take off yet. For a newly established company, they must do well in customer satisfaction. Have you received any after sales survey form or interview? This is the 1st step for the company to know customer satisfaction for their products & services and improvement need to perform. Immediate satisfying customer is the best way to upgrade sales. this is important b4 going into promoting the products.
We can share some promotion ideas but not b4 the company is ready; there are limitation! The MPV is assembled in most famous & advance assembly plant in M'sia and we yet to see the quality in assembly our MPV. I am not sure whether they are doing it on purpose..... hmm.gif
As I said, it takes time......no easy task!

I agreed with CNF. Ask to break down the price and ask them whether all these are factory fixed or outside accessary shop. I see there is a different of RM5k. If u r given VKool Secure, this is abt RM2800 whereas normal VKool is RM2000(quote by Soon Soon Prai for reference only.). As for reverse camera + dvd....not so sure which brand is given to u. If 5k for all these fixed inhouse, I think worth; at least save all the trouble and dealing with all damages if any.

SC already awared of this and when the car is delivered for you to inspect, can always request them to check this point. According to one forum member, he said the holes are pluged and according to SC, most cars are unplug.

Memang SC responsible tutup lubang tu tetapi pastikan rubber plug(cover) tu ada stok di SC sebelum u pergi. Bila I pergi SC PJ, stok belum ada. I covered with flashband temperary and bunyi angin masuk pun banyak kurang. Rubber tu jual di "Kedai 99" 50cent sebiji. Kalau tutup semuanya sendiri, at least RM40; bukan satu teh tarik!

Hi guys! Do u find the wiper jerking? If this happen for long time, it may damage the wiper and the wiper motor. Mine jerk once a while and need to spray with washer to smoothen it out. So happened that one sales assistant at J. Jusco explain to me how this problem can be solved and I find it very useful to all. Get yourself a tin of silicon spray(the one I've been introduced is MaxSilin), use a clean cloth and polish the wind screen with the silicon. After polishing, you will find that the wind screen is so clear and smooth while using wiper. thumbup.gif I was told MaxSilin Silison spray can also polish off the water mark on the wind screen of old car.

P/S: MaxSilin is ozone friendly; no C.F.C!

I beli dari Jaya Jusco, Banyak supermarket pun ada jual. Lepas discount, I dapat RM13+ dari Jusco. I think silicon brand lain pun sama fongsi.

Dulu saya pakai R-x, teruk sangat.....tak manpu cuba lagi. R-x agak bagus kalau tak guna wiper bila hujan dan kereta di pandu laju. Lepas guna Silicon utk Eastar baru ni, very satisfy. Cermin sangat clear and wiper sangat smooth. Just sharing my experience.

Eastarian, no worry. It only happen 1/1000 chance. Anyway, any buyer could have that chance even though other brand. I have a friend who bought T brand car worth RM150K had numbers of complaint and ended up busy with T.S.C. most of the time for more than 6 months. He is 1/1000 and he told me he dont believe car of such famous brand that cost RM150k has so many problems! We should prepare ourselves. When your car arrive for inspection, do it carefully. Take time to inspect yr car in details. If you are not satisfy with it, you have the right not to accept the car or ask them to rectify the problem found b4 taking the car. Check
1) run the engine idle for sometimes say 5 mins, check the engine any abnormal vibration, check the aircon, aircon fan, fan auto on/off. Also check if it will overheat. This can be done after test drive one round on the road.
2) test drive with auto and shiftronics; check shiftronics indicator. Also check the wheels alignment.
3) all light, indicators and warning sign on/off
4) doors alignment; put some water to check the back door(5th door). Prepare 1.5lx2 bottles of water for the test.
5) check the chassis/body for any scratches/dented; if you find any, see if it is caused by on/off load to/from the lorry.
6) any crack on the lamp covers. If you have time, check also the lamp reflector for crack. Just take a look inside.
7) scratches on the glasses.....look at it one by one closely.
8) interior fixtures; visual check and claim later for those fixtures.

All these might or might not happen, just prepare a check list. Take your time to check it one by one, no hurry and do not feel ashame to do so too. Many of us were so excited when the car arrive and that we just take the car without details checking. Because you are not familiar with the car, ask the salesman to show you item by item as in your list. This normally happen in the operation issues whereas visual check can be done by yrself. You will be provided a check list by the office and you should have your own list to remind you what to do.

Strange! strange! Unless the car is not driven, all parts are wear and tear, right? Indicator meter, CPU board, remote alarm, engine & etc. What is warranty then? Something wrong somewhere..... doh.gif

Chery manager said that the fan motor is under warranty. We, Eastar owners should not guess or make assumption about warranty. "Gagage" should proceed to nearest Chery SC for the claim or varification.

From what you described, the aircon comp noise is very laud and it should not be. You should send the car for inspection if the aircon comp noise is very laud. The engine 4G64 is comparatively laud and we have to accept it. Busyra, H.Stream and T.Wish are very famous MPVs and it take 2 Eastars to buy either one of them(new). How to compare?
In my opinion, the foam fixed underneath the bonet can reduce the noise to certain level and it will help. Berapakah foam tu?

Let me tell my experience with my previous car; it was P.P. 2.0i. I thought I can get original part from P.SC.. During my 100,000km, I changed my water pump and those parts according to schedule. The service cost me RM2600+. After using for more than 6 months, water pump leaking. So, I went to P.SC., they said it is over due 6 months warranty period and no claim allowed. When I went to foreman outside to replace it, it was found that water pump was recon and I was charged according to original price RM850+. Problem like this, I have no way to complaint. This is a very serious problem I experienced........
People not happy with Chery SC because they cannot deliver good & quality service. Trust me, all this is temperary for new company like Chery. In Japanese company, it is called "learning curve". Every new company, new setup or new products need to have "learning curve". Chery SC is no exception; new car, new spare parts, new system, new operation, new people and everything new. I know they need " learning curve".
Let me suggest this: when we need to settle some problems for our Eastar, just list down those items and discuss with the service manager you need to rectify all this problems. Make an appointment with them with both sides understanding the problems and time need to carry out such tasks. This way will make ourselves easy, good for our car and build good repot with our SC. At the same time, happy for both sides.
