Alamakk ...sedih jugak baca story ko ni lan70...sampai dah give up memang kecewa gila dah ni.
Aku pun kecewa jgk pasal SC PJ ni tapi tak sampai nak give up lagi. Aku pun ada masalah stereng begegar bila speed sampai 110. Tapi belom komplen lagi dkt SC. Mase 1st service dulu aku ade komplen pasal alignment lari ke belah kiri ... tapi dorang tak buat pepe pun. Tapi paling sedih tu masa dorang nak repair aku punyer cover airbag yang tebukak skit -seme eastar camtu. Dorang dah rosakkan/cacatkan cover tu ..dorang kata dorang bakar cover tu utk luruskan. Dahlah mende tu rosak masalah tak setel pun. sedihh beb. Tapi still belom give up. Minta bro lan70 sertai committe ... dan kite telah list down masalah2 y biasa dialami oleh owner dan Pengerusi CMC aku menghantar surat secara rasmi kepada SC. Harapan kita agar situasi y dialami oleh lan70 tidak belaku lagi pada masa akan datang. |

To my understanding, wheel balancing and wheel alignment is nothing to do with SC. It is part of wear and tear of the car. All cars SC will ask owner to do it outside; it is normal. The truth is most cars SC do not equip with alignment instrument. This include Honda, Toyota, Mazda, Proton & etc. Why people keep asking Chery SC to do alignment! Steering jerking at certain speed is due to wheel balancing problem(not alignment problem) and again this is wear & tear, not SC responsibility.
Unless the new car is under 1000km, the warranty no longer valid after 1000km for wheel alignment. Even though under 1000km warranty, SC still need to do the alignment outside. So guys, hope we make clear this point and have better understanding. |

this make me very uncomfortable to go ahead to purchase this car! Although I love this car very much!

hi all,
i must say that I am SHOCKED by the reply from smliu. pls be reminded that MOST Toyota, Honda and even EON service center have whell alignment service. and the major service center would have their wheel alignment and balancing machine, who say no? even if they dont have the machine, they would send the car out to their so called appointed tyre center to have the wheel alighnment done. the wheel alignment and balancing covers upto 10,000km as warranty. why do you say they dont cover? after sales service is the back bone of the automotive industry now .. how could company like UMW Toyota makes money and satisfy their customers by just selling nice car at sky high price .. if it is not because of their GREAT after sales service at their service center, they would have closed down long ago .. again, after sales service is very critical to build the brand name and reputation of the car and company. potential buyer would buy the car only if the after sales service is reliable and not ignorant and irresponsible as you mentioned. you are like some ppl in BN, so ignorant and still think the electronic media is not important to win votes. cheers |

Friend, please la, how much only doing wheel alignment? i rather settle myself instead of waiting SC to do it, since they are not performing as expected.
save all my trouble...... cool down ! cool down! i drove honda for 8 years, never never the company include alignment balancing in their warranty, i always go to Old klang road - the famous allignment shop --- sure all of u know where to find.... |

True and not true ...both are in grey area .....first ...to all owner who face vibrating steering kindly do this :
Go to your fav tyre shop ....ask them to do off wheel balancing ...if still feel the 'heat' try to do on wheel balancing .....and try again ......if cannot also ....haiyaaa...go to SC ....show them some receipt and ask them to rectify it .......it might not due to the tyre balancing or allignment....so we complain ...... to all new future owner ...pls rectify this when you pick up your MPV ...run thru the checklist together with the salesman .and test drive once again ...until you satisfy ....at least they will acknowledge your MPV condition and what not .....just my 2 cents ..... oh ya .....try to put an insulator for yout spare tyre.....since the besi will 'eat' your spare tyres..... |

When I did the last alignment, my friend told me that only front 2 wheels can be adjust and align. The rear wheel is fixed(locked). So, when we go for alignment, only 2 wheels alignment cost is charged. Hope this info is useful to those who did not know abt this.

Good evening to all
I apologise as I did not expect fiery responses to my honest experience with SC. I believe there are some chery owners out there who have not received fair after sales service as others. Please do not misunderstand me. My problem is not solely with the balancing. Allow me to giveyou the facts 1) On my 1000km service- complained about i) Wind noise ii) Front driver door indicator light( yang kat bawah sebelah kiri)- not functioning iii) Cover for central console keeps opening iv) latch to third seats broken admittedly, I was at fault for not being there when I received the car, as my wife received it on my behalf, as I was working. I honestly did not think this would be a big deal, as I have owned other car models before, and they would still try to sort out my problems despite it not being recorded. SC's response? tak cukup masa. Spare part unavailable. Come back on 5000km service. 2) On my 5000km service- complained about all the above again plus steering wheel vibration. Now, the person attending to me said that the broken front driver door light ( item no iii ) was due to the tinting that I had done, and said it was not covered by warranty. Only after I informed him that it was there during my 1000km service, and I only tinted my windows at around 3000km of travel,their immediate response spare part tak ada stock. It was only after I argued with him that surely this can be fixed without changing the whole door panel, did they do it. Even then, ada retak sikit kat lampu tu. Terima ajelaa...rest of the complaints- still tak cukup masa and not enough spare part To my fellow chery owners. All these defects, I can choose to have it fixed outside, and to tell you the truth, I am more than willing to pay for it. As you can see, I only complained of all the above problems on my routine services, which I had hoped would have been addressed at that time. I have complained to the mechanic about the problems that I am facing. What I am doing is , believe it or not , is hoping that by highlighting this problem, things will improve for chery owners. Eastarians are increasing in numbers, and the SC have to find a way to tackle the numbers. Peace and love to all, and to avoid making this forum more fiery, I am signing off. |

you guys are such a wonderful people. i think buying a car is one thing but having people around you sharing our love and care to our car is money can't buy! just like the mastercard tagline " there are something money can't buy, for everything else there's mastercard"
very sad... due to some personal reason, i m still fighting to get this car to join you guys! i hope chery malaysia ready can do something since cmc is so supportive. CHERY EASTAR forever.... |

Hope this info is useful to those who did not know abt this. correct Sir Yoda .....its same spec with my last 91 hyundai sonata ....so if you want to do allignment or camber adj ....ensure that they only charge you for front tyres......simple as that as long as we UNDERSTAND our MPV characters etc ..... I am so happy with my eastar! |
