hey guys i m buying an ipod touch soon *YAY!* and i am wondering what to cover it with. my current choices are IS or rebeltouch. IS is transparent and light but it makes the screen abit erm coarse right? furthermore if i drop my ipod it will get damaged easily. on the other hand the rebeltouch provides good protection but i read some forumer's screen guard got scratched, and when you recharge the ipod the heat cannot dissipate fast and hence making diminishing the battery life.. so which one should i choose? getting both is kinda pricey sweat.gif how about other choices? thanks for your pointers, advice and suggestions tongue.gif

Charging only makes ur ipod slightly warm.. Dosen't affect anything...

IS after awhile it tends to stick lots of dust at the linings... That's a big let down or else i would have gotten the IS as well..

Other alternative is bodyguardz.. Much better that IS and they giv 2 pieces in a pack.. Price is 99 i think.. Check garage sales..

Tyc03,

If your query is about the backup after your laptop format, then I may have the answer.

I am fairly certain that the iTunes architecture is the same for both Mac and PC, so if you have previously backed up your iPod Touch, that same backup would reside in the iTunes folder. I hope you did copy out, or backed up this iTunes folder before formatting your PC, otherwise, it is gone forever.

Your apps, if they are legit, and purchased from iTunes AppStore, are all redownloadable, all you need to do is sign in to your iTunes account, and click-to-purchase the same apps again. iTunes will then come back saying that you have already purchased the app, and ask if you want to download it again. Click Yes to that. If your apps/games are all obtained via illegal means, a.k.a pirated, then I'm glad they are gone.

On a Mac, it is practically a worryless experience, since Time Machine will have done its daily backups, and a simple restore from Time Machine would reinstate these apps back again to its original location.

The apps and games are redownloadable, the songs, TV Shows or the movies are not.

The apps are only redownloadable once you log into your iTunes account, they are tied to your account.
