Tyc03,

If your query is about the backup after your laptop format, then I may have the answer.

I am fairly certain that the iTunes architecture is the same for both Mac and PC, so if you have previously backed up your iPod Touch, that same backup would reside in the iTunes folder. I hope you did copy out, or backed up this iTunes folder before formatting your PC, otherwise, it is gone forever.

Your apps, if they are legit, and purchased from iTunes AppStore, are all redownloadable, all you need to do is sign in to your iTunes account, and click-to-purchase the same apps again. iTunes will then come back saying that you have already purchased the app, and ask if you want to download it again. Click Yes to that. If your apps/games are all obtained via illegal means, a.k.a pirated, then I'm glad they are gone.

On a Mac, it is practically a worryless experience, since Time Machine will have done its daily backups, and a simple restore from Time Machine would reinstate these apps back again to its original location.

The apps and games are redownloadable, the songs, TV Shows or the movies are not.

The apps are only redownloadable once you log into your iTunes account, they are tied to your account.

eh so those songs or tv shows or movies that you buy and then delete, you cant redownload them? must pay again? damn cheating haha

This is so that no enterprising Malaysian decides to be clever and sell his account to others so that others can redownload the movies/songs/Tv Shows for free. Malaysians are well-known to do anything for a quick buck, even if the source of the item is shady or suspect.

Manual transfers wont work, you need to burn them onto CDs from inside iTunes and then rerip them back into the other Mac/PCs as MP3s. Apple WANTS you to work for it. Makes it hard for pirates a bit.

I hope those iTunes credit are legit. I don't want to come back here listening to cries of help and whinings that your iTunes account had been suspended because of codes purchased using stolen credit cards. Also, I've forwarded itunes_seller, and the links to his sales thread to Apple, so that they can be forewarned, if any, of unscrupulous nature of his Gift card dealings here. Again, to protect from future buyers having their accounts suspended.

I have a question...has anyone of you bought any of those very very cheap itunes gift certs? Have you come across problems with them?
*
The problems will only surface, once the stolen credit card used to buy these iTunes card charges a rollback on the bank. Apple will trace the code to the account, and that account will either be confiscated of all its iTunes credit, or worse, SUSPENDED.

This can happen between as early as the end of the month, or up to three months.

There are no free lunches.

Do a Google search on keywords like "iTunes account suspended" or "iTunes account suspension" or "iTunes Gift card scam" and see what results you get.

Cases from folks in VR-Zone, Hardwarezone in Singapore, right up to Macrumors and in Apple's own Discussion forums.

The old adage remains true - "If it is too good to be true, it probably is"

Bought it and enjoyed it immensely. Think of it as Loco Roco on steroids. AWESOME all round in terms of visuals, sound, and presentation. Makes use of the accelerometer, and multitouch feature on the iPhone. This is a great title to showcase what your iPhone can do. biggrin.gif
