Regarding the 220V issue, this is the first time I'm hearing about it. Anyway, let htkaki clarify this with SVS first then we'll get an update.

I would have thought SVS did obtain 220V certification some time ago. Perhaps they did not since the volume of 220V subs sold was smaller in the past. Now that it is getting more popular and they have more local dealers in 220V countries perhaps it is now time to get 220V certification. This is just my speculation.

bro lighting i think most ppl here get irritated by u coz u have been repeating( or should i say Bhaskaring or logiteching) n complaining abt the same thing here.. i know u have the right to complain but repeating your rm3800 price here is useless.. htkaki has declared that he wont be doing dodgy stuff so when u keep reminding every1 how cheap svs is in UK,US and your magic number rm3800 ppl get annoyed coz u very well it is impossible to get anywhere near their price..

it is quite often for new movies to have sub 20hz signal...
ppl like svs coz it can go low hz in high spl thus filling the av room n creating that steam feeling
overseas ppl like it even more coz for the cheap price it really does make movie watching more fun.. but over here coz our tax is so high, the price doesnt look like a budget sub anymore

what make the SVS so special that most ppl like it that much? Izit bcos it can go low Hz (as i read comparison with others in reviews)? If yes, how often does a movie have low Hz eg. below 20Hz?

It's abt USD460 or more for shipping fee depending on location (D2D) except East Malaysia  In total, USD2,731.14 for PB13-Ultra to be shipped direct from US (including taxes). IIRC, arj did post before that to get PC13-Ultra direct from SVS into our country, it is about RM8.4K plus or more.

M'sian Price = RM5520
Difference = RM873 = 18.7% (not 66%)
I don't know about the shipping. Just guessing. Hope you can update with more accurate comparison.

does the rm3k velo perform as well as the oh so bloated RM3600  PC12-NSD sub? 

anyway in US, USD799 is probably dealer price, while SVS quotes direct distribution price.. of cos there will be 20-30% differences in similar product categories.. which of coz the CHT12 aint in the same category as svs..

M'sian Price = RM5520

lightning69, not sure why you still insist on SVS us price $948. that price, you buy and listen in the factory. but if you stay in malaysia, then you need to somehow send it to malaysia=RM4897. At RM5520, I can drive my truck to htkaki's shop, pay, collect and listen at home. so we need to compare price to your house. we can't somehow download the svs, can we?

As for Velodyne, if you buy at US Price (USD799) = RM2796 you still need to ship to your house. so in comparison M'sian Price = RM3000 to your house is very cheap, I agree. but that is not a reason for me to by a Velo. So what to do if I want to buy SVS?
