kind to pm me the price ... I have a quotation from myanmar thru a japanese ... but still cannot afford to get one shipment (minimum 40 pcs)  rclxub.gif  rclxub.gif
*
If from myanmar must be from one of 2 Wildlife Sanctuary !! Why dont you try Thailand there are breeding farms selling them and you dont need to buy that many ie 40 to start with !!

Those 2 not for sale as my friend just bought them !! He may start selling when his start hatching ( soon ) Speaking of which I think there are upwards of 10 species's eggs cooking !!!

Thanks bro ...
Frankly speaking ...   I would get a nyiphora  or adlabra ...than a BS ....hehehe   biggrin.gif:D
*
Finding a Yniphora is easier than a Burmese Star I think ( by way of offer ) even thou a Yni is 2 - 3 times more expensive than a BS of the same size !! But all 3 make good , easy to care for pets !!

Got 2 RES..

Feel like having a sulcata but was wondering izzit CITES I or CITES II now?
*
Its CITES II for now and if bought from the right place , the receipt issued by that place should enable you to apply for a license to keep !!

yes, i admit, the law seems not holistic especially in Malaysia,we are too far behind. The law about TTT usually implemented by the CITES,not wildlife department and Malaysia as a members of CITES must obey it. but they do so just to reduce wildlife trade. even based on fact, moreless 20% only the livestock still alive when reach the destination. and sometimes those animal reach the end of their life in stupid petshop and stupid people. i oledi talk about it with some wildlife officer during my fieldwork because i think the law was not fair to serious breeder like u all,but he said that he cannot do anything because it involve top people(some of them didnt know nothing about wildlife, just bisnes).. hmm.gif maybe one of us must be one of a policy maker,kwah3. tongue.gif
*
Even those local sp listed with CITES , they usually wont issue license ( individual hobbist like you and me ) too !!!

Base on what fact ?? I thought all underground ( how to estimate facts / numbers if cant be seen ) !! Most of these facts are made up by those people / body out to get conservation funds !!

From what I know the high death rate in transit were due to packing method ( efficient yet best to avoid dection by authorities ) !!

Its 41kg mann..roughly how old or long would it take to reach that size?

btw, any1 can determine the species just by the pic?
*
Most likely Asian Softshell Turtle @ Amyda cartilaginea But I doubt that specimen is even close to 30 kg let alone 41 kg !!!

As that post in adpost will raise too much unwanted attention thus my post here ( due to ploughshares being CITES I ) !! I like his courage to even dare to post that ad in adpost after so many arrest this year !!

Tell his friend to tell him that I meant no harm !! as a fellow ploughshares owner ( more than his 4 ) I wount want the authorites to get to them by disguise-ing as potential buyer and got trap !!

Cami, TY very much for your replied.
Is a ST. One is 50cm & another one is 55cm.
The big ST, 1 of the rear foot nail was gone, i suspect it was due by the small ST. sad.gif
Really dont know what is worng. sad.gif
*
Majority if not all of the ST in our market are WC thus missing a nail or two or even chip shell is commonplace !!

At 50 and 55 mm I will rule out the Male trying to mate theory !!
