elfreakz .... im glad i listen to you and went to see the doc.... coz the swollen cheek is full of "nanah"..... i was shock when the doc squeez her cheek, and the nanah was gushing out, and it was A LOT of it..... like 3 table spoons.... the doc said maybe it bcoz of the claw or fang that penetrate her cheek when she got into a fight, and it got infected.... he said that the would take a long time before 100% heal, bcoz, have to wait till the dead skin fall itself, and it would be open wound, and i have to take it back for anti biotic shoot....
again thanks for ur advise smile.gif

you mean what should you food a mother cat that is nursing their kittens? = just feed the mother KITTEN FOOD.. not the adult one.

yea by nature they will push mom breast while suckling it.

and yes kitten do fight with each other for milk although there are more nipples than kittens ehehe...

and interesting part, kitten do have their favorite nipples, so they will fight if someone else suck their favorite nipples.

so if you want a healthy mother cat, feed them kitten food.

I just started my cat on Orijen beginning Nov and has finished 3/4 of a 2.5kg pack
and just bought another new pack yesterday

For those who have bought Orijen, does anyone knows whether the Orijen here is
direct import from Canada? Given what is happening in Australia with so many cats
gotten sick from consuming Orijen ( even though Champion Petfoods had confirmed
that this case is just isolated to Australia alone), pls forgive me if you think I am
being paranoid.

I can't seem to find the importer sticker on the packaging of Orijen I bought from
Home Pet in Sri Petaling.

Hopefully, the local distributor here direct import from Canada and not Australia.

Anyone here has info that can be of help. Thanks

I dont think i can answer this ehehe.. because im not the distributor, and im not sure if there's only one orijen distributor in malaysia, or many distributor distribute this food.

You need to ask your PETSHOP.. and your petshop will check it from their distributor.

This is the e-mail replied from Champion Pet Supplies Sdn Bhd, the importer of Orijen in Malaysia :

We sell Orijen, Acana, Enhance and Chip's Best pet foods, Pet Naturals supplements, Hery grooming supplies and the World's Best Cat Litter. You may find more information at our website www.cpsmalaysia.com

There was recently a recall for Orijen Cat foods in Australia. You may see more details of it here:
http://www.championpetfoods.com/Australia_...mer_Release.pdf
The Orijen that you purchase in Malaysia is imported directly from Canada by our company Champion Pet Supplies Sdn Bhd. You can be assured that they are 100% safe and are not affected by the recall in Australia.

Mixing Orijen and Acana is perfectly safe for your pets. However by mixing both formulas, the "Guaranteed Analysis" (protein, fat, carbohydrate, etc.) of the product will no longer be accurate. We always recommend to follow the manufacturer's directions when it comes to feeding your pets.

Yesterday, we have just launched a new range of Acana products in Malaysia. This new range will include a new formula called Pacifica for Cats. It is part of new line of grain-free formulas by Acana called "Provincial". The high meat content of 65% comprises of 3 types of fish, Pacific Salmon, Wild Pacific Herring and Wild Pacific Flounder. The remainder 35% comprises of fruits and vegetables.

I have some question here
My female cat already got a birth for 2 sweet kitten.
But now, after more than 2 weeks, she always have bleeding in her butt. About 4 days ago, something like ulat come and stick at her butt.
The smell of blood and ulat make me afraid and feel not comfort to pay with her.
Help me

Im becoming afraid if she dies.
She a good cat and good listener.
But she like to gatal with other male cat even she only 2 week from have a birth.

Hey Stormaker

Thanks so much for forwarding this reassuring statement from the supplier of Orijen.

Now, I can continue to feed my kitty with peace of mind.

Hey you guys... For some reason, I couldn't find the adoption thread, so I guess this thread is the next best thing..

I went to buy some flowers from this flower shop this morning.. There were these high-pitched little mews nearby. Apparently they'd found some kittens that were hidden behind some boxes.. There were 4, and the mother was nowhere to be found. Anyway I really wanted to take them home but my parents wouldn't allow me. I hope you all can spread the word so they can be taken into homes and cared for instead of being street cats who are prone to accidents on the road, etc..

They were very small, so if you do take them in I reckon you're going to have to bottle feed them. Two of them had a burmese kind of colouring, one was ginger and the other was a dirty white/grey. They all had dirty faces but looked in good condition otherwise. Right now they're still at the flower shop, Katherine Florist, next to Hock Choon supermarket, opposite Su Casa, in the ampang hilir area. I hope they can go to good homes with your help. =)

Thanks you guys! =)
