I just started my cat on Orijen beginning Nov and has finished 3/4 of a 2.5kg pack
and just bought another new pack yesterday

For those who have bought Orijen, does anyone knows whether the Orijen here is
direct import from Canada? Given what is happening in Australia with so many cats
gotten sick from consuming Orijen ( even though Champion Petfoods had confirmed
that this case is just isolated to Australia alone), pls forgive me if you think I am
being paranoid.

I can't seem to find the importer sticker on the packaging of Orijen I bought from
Home Pet in Sri Petaling.

Hopefully, the local distributor here direct import from Canada and not Australia.

Anyone here has info that can be of help. Thanks

This is the e-mail replied from Champion Pet Supplies Sdn Bhd, the importer of Orijen in Malaysia :

We sell Orijen, Acana, Enhance and Chip's Best pet foods, Pet Naturals supplements, Hery grooming supplies and the World's Best Cat Litter. You may find more information at our website www.cpsmalaysia.com

There was recently a recall for Orijen Cat foods in Australia. You may see more details of it here:
http://www.championpetfoods.com/Australia_...mer_Release.pdf
The Orijen that you purchase in Malaysia is imported directly from Canada by our company Champion Pet Supplies Sdn Bhd. You can be assured that they are 100% safe and are not affected by the recall in Australia.

Mixing Orijen and Acana is perfectly safe for your pets. However by mixing both formulas, the "Guaranteed Analysis" (protein, fat, carbohydrate, etc.) of the product will no longer be accurate. We always recommend to follow the manufacturer's directions when it comes to feeding your pets.

Yesterday, we have just launched a new range of Acana products in Malaysia. This new range will include a new formula called Pacifica for Cats. It is part of new line of grain-free formulas by Acana called "Provincial". The high meat content of 65% comprises of 3 types of fish, Pacific Salmon, Wild Pacific Herring and Wild Pacific Flounder. The remainder 35% comprises of fruits and vegetables.

Can't believe its V4 already. That's pretty fast. Ahhh, elfreakz has now 10 cats?!?! you only have 6 last time.
4 boys, 6 girls... hmm..

MY kitten is weighing 4.7 kilograms now. Growing up fast. It kinda seems that my cat is bigger than most kittens when he was 3 months old. Infact much bigger.
