Dear forumers, I need urgent advice!

My sis just brought (Not bought) home a kitten, well... The kitten was actually just outside our home, on the roadside But anyway, it was late at night when she brought it in, my mom gave him/her (I dunno how to check) warm milk as the kitten look really tired/energyless/something like that, and a box, newspapers and towel for the night. Then, this morning, the cat got milk for breakfast and tuna for lunch.

My question is, what do/can kittens eat (Or cannot eat)? Can it take a bath (Kinda dirty)?

First Of All = NO HUMAN PRODUCT MILK! HL,Dutch Lady or whatever fresh / low fat milk that human drink.

Second = NO HUMAN FOOD FOR YOUR KITTY ehehehe

Go to petshop, buy cat food for Kitten. If you have money, go to vet for check up. As the vet to check for parasites (fleas, tick, lice, mites), deworm, vaccine only if the kitten is health (you vet will know what to do). Ask vet for advice. If the vet want you to buy this and that, just say you trying to spend minimize the budget, and not to spend to expensive. You can also buy milk for cat in the petshop.. but depends on your kitten age, if she/he is more than 2 months old, milk can result diarrhea due to sensitive stomach.

If got fleas, spray the kitten with Frontline Spray. Wait 24 hours, and then you can bath.

my adopted cat finally gave birth to 5 kitten early this morning at around 3am to 4am, on my bed beside me. But, the thing worry me now is her abdomen still very big n when i touch both side of her abdomen, i can feel it's hard ? is this the sign of left over kitten in her abdomen ? I went home from work during lunch break n i saw her acting quite normal n can eat some also.

yes cat food is a complete nutrition for cat/kitten. there will be 2 types, for cat and for kitten. since yours is small.. then kitten food

also provide fresh water, filter one.

don't forget to visit vet

Yes hard stomach is normal. Possibility no more, possibility YES there are still more.

Cat won't labor in one time, some of them, labor from time to time within 24-48hours. while some push everything in one time eheheh

Most kucing malaysia will not have problem with labor they are super power wonder women ehehehe... can't wait to see pictures

p/s make sure all the kitten suckling mother milk because 5 is like alot.. they will fight among each other who will get the nipples. although there are alot of nipples not all is easy to to get, especially the bottom one.. middle part nipples are the easiest.

Actually this morning before i went to work only 3 kitten, when i visit her during lunch break, i was so shock bocs it's became 5 kitten ... now i think i'll be on tight tight budget taking care of them ... some more ... she don't even want to touch her dry food, she only want to eat wet food which is more expensive ... is it ok if i feed her Careline canned food ?

hehehehe ... for the picture ... have to wait for suitable time bcos they all in a dark box, n i don't want to make her scared by taking photo.

now u need to teach your cat eating kibbles (dry food).. wet food can spoil your cat, because it taste more nicer than dry food eheheh... teach her like mix about wet food with the dry food. hopefully she like it. and slowly reduce wet food till it become 100% dry food.

Mandi the mother, if u use frontline or shampoo fleas on the mother, make sure you bilas lama sikit. bagi semua tanggal. if malas nak mandi kan ibu nya, then guna frontline spot on dan titik kan pada atas leher ibu.

3) Lice boleh jangkit kat other cats ke or human ke? = Jangkitan Lice sebenarnya paling tak common. i mean that famous. but hopefully yang ada pada kucing you sekarang is lice lah. lice ni nampak macam debu2 pasir hujung2 bulu. kalau yang u nampak u atas kulit, then its something else. harap2 bukan walking dandruff. Generally lice pada kucing tak akan pergi ke manusia. kebiasaan nya, lice ni suka lepak pada bahagian muka, dan leher kucing. kalau you perhati betul2 lice dewasa akan turun naik bulu kucing. contoh nya, u cabut sikit bulu tu, dan buka lampu terang, letak kain hitam di bawah bulu tu. kalau tak bergerak, but still ada "dot" or bintik pada bulu tu, means telur dia. Lice susah sikit nak jangkit pada kucing lain, melainkan dorang tidur depan, berpeluk or bulu bersentuhan. lice hanya boleh merayap.. dia tak melompat.. so kalau kucing tu jarak jauh dgn kucing dia, lice tak akan dapat lompat. As for now, jangan letak apa apa berbulu seperti tuala ke apa ke dekat kucing dan kitten tu. just alas dengan surat khabar.

The best way is to frontline SPOT ON the mother kalau you tak mahu mandi kan dia. sekali sekala tu, ambil kain, rendam kan dan perah... and now lap kat ibu kucing tu. macam buat kat org demam ehehe. as for the kitten don't worry. umur dia 3 minggu u boleh lap kan anak anak tu sekali. as for now, biar ibu yang bersih kan anak dia.

last time, my cat had MIA for three days .. after some research, she is actually lepak2 at a neighbour's house and got stuck there when the whole family gone balik kampung.. when suzie return home, she is super skinny and i give bring her to the vet ... she's on science plan diet ...

after she got ok edi ... one thing really different about her .. she dont want to eat 'ikan rebus' anymore .. but eat my ferret kibbles .. that keep me wondered ...

why ?

p/s: but the good thing is, i dont need to buy her fish everyday anymore and she mostly at home now .. if not, sure merayap here and there .. only back home to eat ..

I rasa bukan lice la...coz benda tu atas kulit...betul2 atas permukaan kulit...cam kelemumur kat kepala kita...dia pun nampak cam kelemumur...ade kat bahagian badan dia...kat area perut...kat ibu dia takde la pulak...camne anak die boleh ade...

Berapa hari baru ni? i mean kelahiran tu? entah2 apa you tengok tu, kulit kering tak. si ibu dia pemalas eh? well, like kitten kan waktu keluar tu berlendir2 dan basah. so i was thinking, if terlalu baru, might be lendir2 kering yang bertukar menjadi kelemumur, atas sebab ibu yang belum ada masa lagi nak groom anak dia.

if u try lap dengan kain biasa, jatuh tak benda tu?

macam lice, kita guna kuku pun susah nak tarik dia dari bulu, guna sikat, lap dgn kain .. pun tak jatuh encik.lice.

if this kelemumur yang u tengok tu jatuh bila u ambik, or lap kitten tu dengan kain.. then it sound not serious eh...

kitten I dah dekat 1 months...masa baru lahir takde...dalam beberape minggu ni...ibu die mmg malas nak bersihkan anak die...nak bagi susu pun malas...kena angkat die masuk dalam box..n urut2 sikit ...baru die baring bagi anak die susu...

benda cam kelemumur tu baru 1 minggu...kat tempat yg ade kelemumur tu...kulit kering giler...n bulu takde...mmg kalau tarik...die jatuh...cam kelemumur...

but kat kulit at that area...takde kesan merah atau ape2...cuma tgk kering sgt...

klu u sentuh dgn tangan kat area tu...rasa kasar...

dulu...anak fropm ibu yg sama...ingat tak si gemuk yg kena cirit birit tu...ade gak cam tu masa kecik...

if u rasa NEGATIVE from parasite - which u tak ada jumpa pun benda2 merayap or lompat2 (sound scary, i know ehehe)... then i suspected dorang kena skin infection. can be from fungus too, can also be persekitaran. macam rashes kat baby manusia.. i selalu perasan tengok baby kecik2, mesti ada masalah ruam, rashes bintik gatal kat leher, siku, dan lain lain.

if dia jatuh, not a big problem. that sound like buat parasite. even the walking dandruff pun susah nak di jatuh kan.

but i was wondering, kenapa bulu tak de??? i know some kitten lahir memang dgn kurang , especially bahagian bawah perut.

i pernah tengok kulit kering before dekat my friends punya cats. i understand that situation, but time past by, ibu dia suka menjilat anak, so the kitten jadi bersih.

if your female cat pemalas eheheh (mengangkang je tau )... then u need to become penjaga ehehe.. lap lap.. ambik kain yang basah dan perah tadi tu.. lap skit skit..

i rasa jgn di garu kot kesan merah tu, takut jadi luka, lepas tu kang jadi kurup

so harap2 bukan benda yang i benci tu lah ye kalau gi vet pun, maybe dorang bagi krim untuk sapu kat bahagian tu.

walking dandruff memang mengeri kan. sampai satu tahap kritikal, kucing tu kena cukup. please jauh kan dari mala petaka tu ye

lap dgn kain yang sembap.. yang basah sgt.. tak yah letak apa apa.. sbb kitten tu kecik lagi kan. takut body dia lemah nak lawan chemical product2 ni.

kalau you nak sapu minyak gamat pun boleh. but i tak berani jamin, bukan apa, i takut ibu dia terus reject anak nya sebab bau pelik ye lah, kitten tu walaupun ibu pemalas, masih bawah jagaan ibu kan...

if it was just a rashes, kulit kering biasa, u dont have to worry that much. insyallah tak ada apa yang teruk.

like my friends punya kitten dulu, vet tu cakap, keadaan suhu dia letak anak kucing tu terlalu kering dan panas. memang betul kitten perlu suhu tinggi, but not di pancar dgn matahari eheheh.

yea i pun rasa dorang ni keturunan sakit kulit kot kan. sensitive.

balik pada kes i pula, kitten i lahir2 je, kulit perut terkoyak! u imagine that eheheh.. i suspect ibu dia tergigit perut dia. luka tu jadi besar, till u can see berdenyut2 and nampak isi isi. minyak gamat juga penyelamat kitten ni. 3-4 hari luka tu mula kering. dia tidur asing2 dgn ibu dia. masa nak menyusu je duduk dekat. sebab i tak mau ibu dia jilat bahagian tu. mesti sakit, lidah kucing kan kasar.
