HI El and fellow cat lovers,

I saw this stray wondering on my street, he had really bad kurap all over. His ears were the worst part, they seemed to be weighed down with some infection (looked like lotsa bumps, reminded me of leprosy) and he couldnt stop scratching them. It looked extremely awful.

I came near him but it was obvious he didn't want to be approached, so I just put out a can of wet food a few meters across frm him. After i walked away he devoured the food, not a surprise as he was awfully skinny.

I was just wondering if there is anything that can be done about his condition, especially those ears. If I take him to the vet, will the vet be willing to house him until his condition is ok? My concerns are that
1)if his condition is contagious, I don't want my other cat to be affected
2)if his condition is treatable, I'm afraid I wont be able to allocate enough time daily to treat him

Does anyone know of any affordable vet in ulu kelang / wangsa maju / tmn melawati area that I could come to with this kitty? I just feel really bad for him. My street is full of fed strays (they don't belong to anyone specifically, but all of us just feed them when/if we can) but in this kitty's leper-like condition, it is only normal that people shy away and avoid him.

huhuu, hye all...im new here but already got a cat alredy...umur die da 2 tahun dis year...mule2 ibu die datang kat umah n give birth but my mum xnak bele coz just lost a cat due to some stupid rempit bawak motor macam die sorang ade motor..huhuh mule2 ade 3 ekor but 2ekor tu liar n sukepergi rumah belakangn stayed ther,only one kitten that love to play with my fam, but my mum cakap nak bagi my grandma or other peole...but then she felt in love with that kitten n at that time we havent gave him any name but then i sugest calling him mayaw because i use to call him dat..he love to catch,birds n even fish in my neighbours pond...noty lil  fella but then hes very tame n all the neighbour love him..alway lepak2 with me n teman evry time my mother at the kitchen but he didnt steal just watch my mum cooking..sometimes when sdiy as  if he knew that im sad n try to comfort me...n already anggap macam my own fam.. for me i never had a cat like him not in a million years..but now its been almost 1week xbalik rumah,looked for him evrywhere but still no sign of him...miss my mayaw so badly n afraid something bad hapen to him...

do u know where can i get a bigger packet for Origen? the one i always bought is only 2.5kg, cant get the bigger packet, the 2.5kg ones can only tahan for 1 month. quite inconvenient for me to buy every month. especially during exam period like now.

Hi El and fellow cat lovers again,

This is a picture of the stray I've been feeding for the past few days.
I've read up about this krusty bark-like growth and seems like it could be leprosy or cancer.
I'm gonna check with my vet and see if he has any idea...this cat is awfully skinny, lotsa bald spots on his coat and his condition makes even other stray cats shy away from him.
Does anyone know what this could be?

hmm..it's not my cat..just a stray i've been feeding these past few days..
i know...i try not to gag when i come close n feed him..it's awfully sad how his condition is.. and i must admit i'm not used to handling these squirmish situations. I'm just wondering if this condition can be fixed. kesian lah.

yea that look like Papillomas or Warts Virus..

from the picture i agree that cat look like tree man...

and it does look very serious.... hopefully you did not touch it or make any contact with your cat if your cat is not vaccine yet.

last week i went to vet, n the doc said my ryan is abnormal...coz die ada 1 ball jer...n die x digalakkan utk mengawan...ada x sapa2 kucing yang abnormal cam ryan...ke kucing sy jer yg abnormal?
