for movie AVR, for music 6005

thanks,its not the best amp out there but at least best enough for me .bought it used(lucky) actually can't afford to buy new

I used to have yamaha integrated amp a-s500 before and somehow I prefer the SQ of my avr over the integrated amp for music. Maybe I think the pairing of the speakers and amp during that time didn't match. Thus I sold off my integrated amp. Haha..
But now, im just thinking of possibilities of future upgrade. Adding in pm6005 to drive the front or upgrade the avr and sell off current avr. Both ways I think will not be that different in term of cost.
But I think the pm8005 is in a different league.

Lucky you, when I hear the price of pm8005, my jaw is like dropping, hahaha.
I'm currently have marantz cd player, that why I'm thinking to have the marantz amp as well.

Is wharfedale diamond 121 worth to get? For 5.1 combination of movie + music. I believe this model is an obsolete model. How does it compare to latest diamond 10.1 or 220?

if you can get cheap price is worth it,not much different compare to 10.1 and 220 in term of sound maybe 9.1 will a bit different

Save your money, get a pair of Wharfedale Denton 80th Anniversary, a cd player/DAC, and and clean power amp, then no need upgrade already, this combination can play music and movie

Denton enough powerful, I watch some war movies, the bullet bom, all are freaking powerful, of course with sub it can be better or harder (if position wrongly) and can destroy some music listening, you get Denton first, it works well with most music, play movie sound great, later on can add a sub, do note that you need a clean power amp to drive the Denton

for music and movie you can't go wrong with wharfy diamond,recommended to get matching centre for timbre/tonal with front speakers.get the highest range avr you can afford with decent bookshelf e.g wharfy 122/225 1st,later on add surround,centre and sub(svs )

well its depend on your expectation la..for me thats 5.5inch not enough,need floorstand speakers with multiple big sub

Where can I buy the Denton Anniversary? How much is the price now?

i got a pair 9.1 including stand to let go due to cny clearing store room
