ya, sometime it is not the price factor, u will not love the speaker even it's more expensive if u dun like the sound

I've heard the NAD T748 but not with wharfedale speaker. Demo it with Dali speakers, zensor and lektor series for music, but i dont really like the sound. Feels like not much power to drive them, not enough dynamic. I'm not sure why, maybe due to playing the audio cd via bd player. I dont think the T748 can't drive them, just trying the small bokkshelf only. But the full home-theatre setup is superb though.

Ok, enough with that, finally i'm proud to be in this Wharfedale family, just bought Wharfedale 10.2 with 10 cs centre speaker for pairing with Yamaha rx-a810 receiver. I'm able to compare with the new diamond 100 series, the Wharfedale 122 which the smaller version (Wharfedale 121) has 5 star rating from whathifi. Comparing 10.2 with 122, 122 has more solid bass but lesser treble. I picked the 10.2 because i like the design and look. Overall, i like the sound, more on the bright side as most say yamaha receiver is bright, but more than good for starter like me to start a home theatre setup. 
Comparing music listening with my previous powered speaker audioengine A5, of course this new setup is much cleaner sounding, more detail and crispy high. Bass is just good, solid but audioengine a5 has punchier and big bass which may muffled the overall sound. 

i've heard the same too from the net/forum but never had a chance to audition them. I'm still hunting for a proper stereo setup..Now will just enjoying music via my current av receiver with wharfedale 10.2.. Not sure wanna keep the 10.2 as front speaker or adding in floorstander and let the 10.2 be the rear speaker..

hehe, i got luck this week. able to get a pair of tip-top condition 9.1 back! 

finally i'm able to compare the sound side by side, for music i like the 9.1, for movie 10.1 a tad better.

conclusion: i like 9.1 more. 10.1 will be better if room treatment is done (mostly bass problem).

i never have a chance to have audition on kef speakers. hope it brings the sound you like.

i agree that subwoofer is the most poisonous equipment to play with, upgrades never end 

Sorry for the bump. I auditioned the 10.2 with Marantz 5007 at Desa and i really liked it. Was quoted 1,100 and 2,299 for speakers and amp.

I did not try the 122 and was curious wat would be the price ? Anyone can share on the difference in terms of sound?
