For trail running shoe, i find cheaper option are NB, they do have a lot of variety. If you want better, try Salomon (can be found in world of outdoor, The Garden). tongue.gif I have a pair of Salomon XT Wings, i find it really superb in trail, providing me good grip but not compromising on cushioning. The only drawback is $$$. tongue.gif

I think Asics and Mizuno do have some trail shoe oso, dunno how good is that, just think their product should be quite good.

guys, i was talking about trail running, not just trekking,

as go to internet , the recommended by Federation for Sports Altitude is adidas supernova TR5 so i was wondering if any forumer here have experience with this shoes in our forest for running!

Hi, ya, the Salomon XT Wings that i recommended is for trail running. not trekking. But i find the trail run only applicable to certain forest where already a lot of people walk pass. Anywway, if you go for virgin jungle trail run, the normal trail running shoe will not survive in the muddy condition. I find most of hasher in Miri opt for soccer shoe when they do trail run in forest, because the trail is very muddy and very soft.
When i run on rocky and relatively dry surface, i find the Salomon is superb.

Timex is the worst of the lot.  You gotta wear so many things on your body before going out for a run, thats tough and not logical man!!!!  If you dont mind paying a little bit more, I believe Garmin will be a good choice.  At least you know they are one the better companies that produce/sell GPS gears and chances of losing GPS signal is almost zero.

Yes.... I got a Timex... but now hardly use the GPS and HRM.... Would prefer to get Garmin instead.
