if u buy 2.5" 1 then dunnid the power adapter , can direct plug to usb port liao
*
sori..wanna ask regarding the power adapter rite..
actually how it works??
i mean hows the connection like??isit very mafan?

cuz i noticed some1 post dis very earlier on in dis forum saying:

Three biggest different between 2.5" HDD vs 3.5" HDD

1) Size itself of course
2) Being use externally, 2.5" can be powered by USB (1 x USB2.0 or 2 x USB1.1) while 3.5" will need extra power adapter.
3) 3.5" has larger capacity limitation compared to 2.5" and capacity / RM more value on the 3.5"

so...for 3.5'' rite..isit everytime wen v plug in to computer it has to be wif the power adapter as well?

if 3.5" then more cheaper but nid to use 1 power adapter come with the 3.5" hdd casing

Added on December 6, 2008, 1:52 pm
i think is the hdd produced from jun or july to now , all got problem
*
Add on for limhongwoon, 3.5" casing is much more bigger than 2.5",not just larger about 1",but more.
But 3.5" 500GB price = 2.5" 250GB price(almost,not really equal)
QUOTE(limhongwoon @ Dec 6 2008, 02:16 PM)

Caviar Black is for 24/7 like really the performance version for gamers and etc, green is like lower power and so-so performance, blue i think is normal.
Just wait a while more bro, i think 1tb hdd will drop somemore their price so don't buy the 500gb, go straight for 1tb, biggrin.gif
