QUOTE
Thirty-five years since they last performed there as an opening act, Daryl Hall and John Oates returned to the Troubadour in May of 2008 to find the legendary Los Angeles club nearly unchanged. The same can't be said for the fourth-biggest act of the '80s (after Michael Jackson, Madonna, and Prince), and the best-selling duo ever. For two nights, they delighted fans with a nonstop barrage of unforgettable hits, all of which are included on this sensational two-hour concert. Now you can experience this sold-out, $200-ticket show in your own living room. Two-hour concert taped in front of a wildly enthusiastic audience, and featuring 19 songs, including all of their biggest hits. Features a fan-pleasing mix of classics such as "Private Eyes," "Maneater," "Kiss On My List," "Sara Smile," "She's Gone," "Rich Girl," "I Can't Go For That (No Can Do)," "Family Man," and "You Make My Dreams," along with deep cuts and fan favorites. Six songs never before available on a live release, including "Everything Your Heart Desires" and "When The Morning Comes."

and didn't you know why the price is around RM60? Mass production would easily reduce the cost of it. Just like DVD back then.

*In no context that I'm supporting pirated BDs or DVDs.
*
mass production, eh? do you see any pirate blu ray factories around anywhere? nope. not now, not ever.

Nice one Arj. I'm waiting for the RF version of the Harmony One. If still not out by end of the year, I might just buy Harmony 890 instead (RF version of 880).

I want RF so my wife can control Astro from the bedroom. thumbup.gif

hey.. can u control astro from another room with a RF remote control? that sounds like a great solution for my new condo as I only have one decoder in the living room..... rclxms.gif rclxms.gif

This will replace the IR transceiver (that is taped to front of astro) ... old fashion style. any other possible solutions?

cheers..

Warner to Ship More than 1M Dark Knight Blu-rays

According to sources, Warner Home Video will ship more than 1 Million copies of the upcoming Blu-ray release of 'The Dark Knight' to retailers, which represents the largest initial shipment of any Blu-ray title, ever. There has been a great deal of anticipation for the title, which is on schedule to be released on December 9th, and Warner appears to be share the same sentiments.

The current best selling title is Paramount's 'Iron Man', which sold around a half million copies its first week. Data regarding total sales so far and number of units shipped have yet to be revealed by the studio.

morning guys!!

okay quick review on Get Smart BD:

PQ: 4/5

Consistent brightness, colors throughout the movie, although there's not one scene where colors pop out or seem vibrant. it all seems balanced, and clean, crisp. There are certain scenes however, which seem to be slightly washed out for a few seconds. overall, nice looking BD!

AQ: 2/5

Ugh..a bloody disaster. Following Speed Racer, this title is in Dolby Digital and no HD audio!!! WTF WB?? The explosions, soundtrack, gunshots are all nice in surround, but the dialogue is disappointing. Muffled, a bit low..i had to crank the amp a few notches to get a balance. Basically same thing which happened to Speed Racer. Disappointing.

Movie: 4/5

This is the first time I watched Get Smart, and I must say it's pretty good. It takes cues from the TV show in its mannerisms and feel but on the other hand, it has a modernized take on it. However, I must still say it almost went into a generic modern spy-spoof movie, but luckily it managed to stay at its borders. The storyline is surprisingly good, although not great. If you watch this with no - low expectations, it may very well surprise you. Acting is ok at the very least; Carrell with his same shtick as the stone faced idiot who thinks he knows it all, but luckily he doesn't take his Office character into this role. He still manages to balance out the blissfully unaware idiot with some charm and brilliance in being an analyst. Bottom line, he's still funny and charming. Anne Hathaway was ok to me, although i must admit I was blinded by her huge eyes, lips, teeth and chest. sweat.gif

Extras:

The Get Smart BD comes with a digital copy and a DVD Game a la Speed Racer.
