Just watched this on blu-ray just now. PQ nothing to shout about, cos shot in 1977 and mostly live concert material, but the AQ shiok 5.1 LPCM. Feeling very nostalgic now. First Mamma Mia, now this.

The Matrix cases are thinner than usual, this much I can confirm. In fact, I rather like this. It's slim, neat and saves space.

Lobang I dunno ler ... I also buy from amazon.com cos cheaper. I think BR here pretty standard pricing, not much difference I see from store to store. best stocked and widest variety still HMV as far as I know. matrix was out since last week over here. saw it, then saw the price US$120 .... my little brother also shrunk.
another big retailer of BR is CD Warehouse. they carry uk titles in addition to us and chinese titles. @ ferricide - check your pm. chinese odyssey around HK$320 at HMV. dunno anywhere cheaper. sorry. will try and ask my local friends. problem is my friends are all old farts, like me. u tell them blu-ray, they thinking gramophone. if got lobang, i will report back here. |

Referring to the earlier posts on previous page re. getting Band of Brothers from UK. Any reason to buy from UK instead of US?
I've pre-ordered from amazon US for $57.95, also steelbox, price about the same as UK, out next week Nov 11. Not too late to cancel ..... |

anyone here a fan of Hall & Oates? getting this? QUOTE Thirty-five years since they last performed there as an opening act, Daryl Hall and John Oates returned to the Troubadour in May of 2008 to find the legendary Los Angeles club nearly unchanged. The same can't be said for the fourth-biggest act of the '80s (after Michael Jackson, Madonna, and Prince), and the best-selling duo ever. For two nights, they delighted fans with a nonstop barrage of unforgettable hits, all of which are included on this sensational two-hour concert. Now you can experience this sold-out, $200-ticket show in your own living room. Two-hour concert taped in front of a wildly enthusiastic audience, and featuring 19 songs, including all of their biggest hits. Features a fan-pleasing mix of classics such as "Private Eyes," "Maneater," "Kiss On My List," "Sara Smile," "She's Gone," "Rich Girl," "I Can't Go For That (No Can Do)," "Family Man," and "You Make My Dreams," along with deep cuts and fan favorites. Six songs never before available on a live release, including "Everything Your Heart Desires" and "When The Morning Comes." linkThis post has been edited by terranova: Nov 7 2008, 06:58 PM |
