Taikos... need to ask your advice. Just bought Superman Returns from a forumer. Everything looks ok, but when put in ps3... no Mini thumbnail/icon in the Movies section. Only BR-ROM icon.

When play that icon straight away play the movie... not even a title screen (where you have the options to change language, subs and extras...)

Of course pic quality is good la. And sound only 1 english 5.1 true hd available. But its kinda weird right? The pop up menu allows all the options and extras to be changed la.

But I'm wondering... is this blue ray for real? Now with BR-rw available... kinda scared got pirate copy already.

does it actually come in a BD case? try play it in a normal DVD player? i saw one forumer selling superman returns before saying he doesnt have a case, just the BD itself, case stolen in some road show or something. is this the same guy you bought it from?

i just tried Speedracer and same like the above, just go straight to the movie. only hv 1 audio option and my guess is this applies to Warner bluray. i thought they skip the intro.

I am using the Blue-Wave PS3 IR controller, actually wanted their IR dongle nia
so far only the stop button (which only pause the movie) is not functioning...I've let my URC RF20 remote to learn all the function button by button, even with those triangle, square etc....no problem for me....and at the time I bought it...only USD11.95

Actually I prefer this type of BD. Or else wasting your time keep on going fast forward, next, next, next.

no worries, some BD is like that especially the 25GB ones

some prefer as they dont have to skip through barrage of trailers before the actual movie

bro, what i mean is the Dolby audio and since this is Region A - english is autoset. once u put in the disc, after the Warner logo it go straight to the movie. got use to Disney / Fox bluray.

maybe u can check behind the blu ray... see got those "bar" and serial no's embedded in the inner ring..

i assume pirated or BD-RW definately don't have these...

They can actually. All PS3s can play DVDs, as long as they're the same region or the disc is region free.
