Yeahp, it's a good purchase at least for me I don't have to chalk up another device on my car and realiable. You want screenshots while using it? I don't have that coz most of time im concentrating driving ahead biggrin.gif

I've purchased TomTom MY for my iPhone 3GS and straight went for two days stress test including during rainy day. Pls note I tried it on KL, Subang, PJ, and cheras roads only. By far maps are updated, and most impressed me is the GPS locking and route recalculate. In fact, I don't realise during recalculating should you reroute to alternative road, it happens so fast in split second. Navigation voice is fantastic, tried Cantonese, English US, UK, Mandarin, B Melayu and Hakka biggrin.gif

Navigation voice is loud, clear and adjustable too. Expect full features including toll charge road, POI, etc. Before this, I've tried garmin on malsingmap, papago and tomtom on Nokia phones too. So I think it's fair to rate this app 4/5.

Ask me anything should you need more info smile.gif

Why the size of the Sygic is 235mb whereas Tom Tom is only less than 100mb? What are the different? Some said they are using the same map but why the size of so much different? Does this mean the Sygic has more map or POI than TomTom? THanks

That is why i've refrained from getting tomtom..

For sure, it's cheaper than Sygic.. but according to their descriptions, maps for Malaysia are only 54% complete..

I wonder thought, if people with JB'd phones can modify the maps/poi themselves.. or import it from elsewhere

But I thought Sygic and TomTom are using the same map so there is no different between these two.

I'm pretty sure you don't need the car kit.. the car kit just boosts the GPS signal etc(or rather provides its own GPS receiver)..or provides it for IPoTs et

Hi,

Just a question regarding Sygic South East Asia in Apps Store, it says the apps contain maps for Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and Brunei. I just want to confirm is it true that it contains all these countries? So I can use the GPS in Thailand and Indonesia as well. I asked it is because other GPS apps only have Malaysia and Singapore. Please confirm. Thanks

Of course it is what it is as listed in the iTunes Store. You can always email them to confirm on this if you wish to.

You can check it out http://www.sygic.com/index.php/en/iphone.html too.

I just purchased the TOM TOM M'sia & Sg GPS app ($59.90) from Itune and installed into my iphone 3g (3.1.2) latest os.

However, I could not able to open the app.
