I'm new here! First post!
I have two systems with 478/479 sockets, both of them are more or less strange (un-mainstream if you would like to call them that way...)
1. Pentium 4 3.0C Gallatin, MSI 945GCM478, 512x2 Corsair 8000UL DDR2-1000 (D9 Fatboy), ST 320GB 7200.10 SATA, ASUS EAX1600XT Silent
2. Celeron-M 340 @ 2.33GHz, ASUS P4P800-E + CT-479, 512x2 Infineon CT-5 DDR-400, ST 160GB 7200.7 SATA, Gigabyte Radeon 9550
I will try to OC the 3.0C system as the CPU is a 30-capper and those DDR-2 1000 rams have loads of potential. However the motherboard with 945GC chipset is not a good overclocker, especially there is no option for voltages :-(
Added you in the list.Welcome to old school club.

My friend who bought the game during the launch is currently playing it using a ATI 9550

But everything has to be set at lowest tho.
Whoa. Thats blazing fast compared to mine. At least 100kb+ faster than what I can get

ATI9550 is a crap,can't even compete with 9600XT is doesn't o/c.

Added on November 1, 2008, 12:09 pm@FunkyRider , we are waiting for your o/c results. I'm keen waiting to see the potential of DDR2 perform on P4 Gallatin. Maybe you can give a try to sawp your CPU to your Asus mobo to o/c too!
