i just installed RA3 last night,

set 1280x1024 resolution with some settings and high and medium

still constant 30FPS and my x800 SM2.0 can work biggrin.gif

it doesnt take too much GPU, judging by that ... right ?
*
I think i might try to play the game if i got the installer. tongue.gif Not GPU demanding?A very good news to me.

i would say go for 9500GT...

HD 4800s will be a waste on P4 since the CPU can't cope with the "appetite" of the GPU... saw it before... used X1950GT and X1300 with my P4 2.4B GHz before... difference??? not much... lol...

(btw my cards are up for sale... so if anyone can solve the money transfer problem, do contact me... happy.gif)

Which card are you letting go ?X1950GT ??

@Ray
Haha.. Hand itchy already huh? Anyways, i think ya 9550 still mange to play RA3 with medium or low setting. No worries.

@Jcsy
Have u tried ultra high for RA3? laugh.gif

O/T: Edmin, hows P4 performs on Undercover? laugh.gif On my way of DLing the game.
*
Haha,RA3 i still haven't play cause no installer. tongue.gif I heard RA3 is not so hardware demanding.

QUOTE(edministrator @ Nov 22 2008, 07:27 PM)
NFSUC very hardware demanding. i m getting around 20-30fps on my rig on medium-low settings. Still playable, but not enjoyable. I'm skipping this one.
*
Your P4 3.0 with 7600GS ?

QUOTE(mav910623 @ Nov 22 2008, 08:42 PM)
Aiya ... so if i upgrade 2 p4 2.4@3.0 + 2gb RAM + 8600GT can't play NSFUC? with good frame rate and graphics??  cry.gif
*
I think 8600GT can handle well in this game.Guess your proc need to boost a bit more to enjoy more frame rate.

Yes, should be a 7600GT (7600GS with DDR3, same GT clockspeed).  sweat.gif  Playable, but not enjoyable due to reduced graphics eye candy. Better stick to Most Wanted.
*
Hi edmin,maybe your CPU clock a bit will bost about 5-8 frames in the game? biggrin.gif

Your APACER RAM is using Infineon chips? I guess they are able to stable at 225MHz with 1:1 divider. biggrin.gif I got myself a pair of Infineon chips RAM,they don't like my Hynix when i go o/c. dry.gif

@fylon,i think the card is very much better than X800. At least 20-25% more better than that. Another important factor is also CPU,X1950GT won't perform with slow CPU.We could ask Kah Loon regarding this card in gaming,long time didn't see him log in here already.

Usually mobo bios only allow upgrade but not downgrade. But flash with exact same version i have never try before. Afraid cannot give u a exact answer. But anyways, what had u done before all these happened?
*
I guess flashing the same version of bios should be able to be done as long as you are flashing the correct bios for the mobo. We are not allow to downgrade bios? I have no idea about this.

QUOTE(Klemann C @ Nov 26 2008, 12:54 AM)
ic.....b4 this i was prompt to MSI official sites to check out whether does this mobo bios newer version....
since i doesn't have....so i nvr do anything on it.....
smile.gif
*
I guess your system must be some hardware failure on it. Eliminate bios from mobo and GC,could HDD be another suspect of culprit?I remember last year my HDD failed and it gave me blank screen on it too after a few times of blue screen.
