Hi anyone having problem running video h.264 on pentium 4 ? very lag on it.
Pentium 4 3.0ghz
Geforce fx 5600
any help ?

Yea.. Just done house keeping. Haha.. Time to migrate.. Grabbed an old version of blink blink tracer. Using 2nd generation of BH-5 chip.

Ya prefer nvidia cos the driver issues?

Your lucky you lag. I hang, not lag while playing h.264 vids.
P4 northwood 2.4GHz
sapphire radeon 9250 128mb
the problem is both cpu and gc.
if gc better like 3850, still can play with p4, but if gc like yours, all the work is on the proc, not gc.

HD video still use old GC??? it'll be a real surprise if it doesn't lag...

get at least a GeForce 7 or Radeon X1000...

What codec are you using?

Driver is an issue.Persoanlly feel ATI cards mostly are craps.I guess i'm 2 steps late to grab them.Really got ppl reserved already.
Lag and hang are 2 different situations. I don't believe 2.4GHz northy can't play h.264 movies.

What is so suprise it old gc?They do can play HD movies well.

what lar, geforce 7 series not assisting in HD decoding at all...

if lag, check your codecs, .720p (1280x720) H264 can play super well with no skipped frames on my P4 Mobile 2.0Ghz with 512MB RAM (running the file consumes 70-90% cpu processing). So if it can't run well on your wonderful P4 2.4, surely some other things are causing it...

Yea. Running Vsita x64 now.. Finally ram are fully optimized. Hm.. Nop! DDR2 punya BH-5.. D9GMH! Haha.. That gem can do from 667 boost to 1200 without sweat.

Haha,you notice the seller also.EOL ..End of Life.. I'm aiming on thoese cheap gc to replace my 9550 if possible. DDR2 BH-5 so potential in o/c ? can o/c to 1200MHz easily?My brother is using Elpidia chipset,he can reach about 1000MHz only with the chip.

Haha.. Yea! quite alot o EOL item on sales. I got my DFI P965-S for RM200.. The best 965 mobo ever.. Can do BSEL without mod the processor. Hehe..

O/T: Yea.. D9GMH can hit almost 2x of its stock speed without sweat.. Haha!

at last solve my problem. the stupid PSU corrupt my primary partition against make me busy whole night reinstall window.

Now using cap palang PSU. need funding to buy new better PSU against hai..............

And i also need a avr i think. my house voltage no really stable now day, can feel it on my CRT.

How much AVR cost ar?

for your spec ah, get a cm extreme power 500W enough liao, budget... (in conversion to real power, it is around 400W)

P/S: silverstone got RM150-RM170 range.

Huntkey psu not bad also right? The price quite reasonable as well..

yeah, very good psu for that price. i'm using it on my c2d rig, running 24/7, never turned off for weeks already. the fan is also very silent, like there's no fan there.

AVR cost how much now day?

Thought AVR issues were mentioned before? I think few post back. Its around 70-100. Depend on model and brand. Recommended will be APC or KOSS.

use CoreAVC to solve the problem....

The 6600GT really reserved by somebody already. Guess need to hunt for the next already.
