ATI 9200SE was the first gc my (still-in-use) mobo had. Back in mid 2003 when ATI 9800pro was the king of all gc, and 9200SE costs a whopping 300+ bucks rolleyes.gif

I've been swapping my mobo gc at an average of 1 card a year shocking.gif
9200se > 9600pro > 6600gt > hd 2600xt(briefly) > hd 3850

If spending 400+ on 3850 is crazy, it's nowhere compared to spending 700+ on 6600gt (2007)

yup, i actually had the same thing with u

i spent a whooping 300+ on the 9200SE and it was pretty bad biggrin.gif

that time , 9800 was the king and it was near RM1600 biggrin.gif

however, the 6600GT was a good investment, 700 tongue.gif

1950 pro on our p4 sure will bottleneck. what i mean is that it cant release full power like running on c2d rig. but still, it is among one of the best performance agp card. just not really worth the $$/performance. $agp>$pcie

yeah thats why i was wondering why even get it biggrin.gif

even for the x800, i feel the processor is slowing it down..

if only can try with a 3.4 E processor tongue.gif since my stupid mobo wont allow overclocking, or rather, cant find the option

now your 3.0E already boiing, still wanna get 3.4E?? tongue.gif

btw, i dont think upgrade the cpu will help you alot in your rig. maybe add 2+-fps in games any few seconds faster in other applications. keep the money for future rig will be more practical IMO. wink.gif

hehe i was just saying leh biggrin.gif

no point already at this point, too many things to bottleneck the system and its not worth the money at all biggrin.gif
