QUOTE(ziggy87 @ Mar 5 2010, 04:14 PM)
higher tension will give you more control
lower tension gives more power because of the trampoline effect
the situation is like you jumping on a spring bed and jumping from floor
definitely jumping on spring bed can make you jump higher

that's the very basic idea
of course there're more theories for this issue

if i'm were you, i wont get such an expensive racket first
make sure you know your playing style well and know the type of racket that suits you the most first

answering your question, N50/N55 is medium flex and N90 is stiff

This is what others Pro tell me.

QUOTE(loneboy62 @ Mar 5 2010, 04:20 PM)
Higher tension will give u more power to smash in theory is correct, the most important thing is whether you are able to handle the tension, usually when i tight 28lbs and above, all back hand almost become shit, so if i run not fast enough, obviously habis!! i guess you should find the tension you can handle, definitely high tension will be good and most of the international player is very very high tension, but make sure ur wrist can support.
*
Yeah. Agree. Theoricalll, high tension mean more power. But must be able to handle and correct wrist-usage when do return.
Like those State, International & National player, they can produce a very powerful shot with higher tension (e.g Lin Dan, Lee Chong Wei, etc etc) is because they using their wrist power more + shoulder, waist power & timing so well. To do this, they undergo high-intensive-hell training.
Not only to master it but to perfect it.

For social player like us, using a lower tension (average tension 24 or 25), it sufficient enough. The most important is, we are comfortable and able to do a descent / good return. There is even a guy who can do a powerful jumping smash with tension 18 only whistling.gif *Glance at chrisling*

Eric Cantona (Legendary Manchester United footballer) said Beautiful Football, and i said "Beautiful Badminton" thumbup.gif

some said if it too good to be true..dont buy it bcoz it a con. unless it is not original LN. any comment sifus ?

new or used?
if used depends on condition

i assume it's RM1100
if new, sounds a bit fishy as the price for N90 is 800+ while N55 is 700++
u do the maths

I can confirm Li Ning racquets that selling in Mudah.my RM110.00 is 1000% imitation. Even the distributor staff is unable to purchase at that price.

hi all sifus im currently using rsl heat 968 at the moment ... and was hoping to get some guidance here .. im not sure about the current string or tension using now actually ...

my drop shots and net play seems alrite to me... able to control properly ...

but i seem to lack the extra 'oomp' to hit back or smash ... any chance the string and/or tension can supplement this lack of power?

recommendations welcome smile.gif

wa..very hard to answer you leh lidet
normally, for extra power, player would go for yonex BG66 or any thinner strings (ashaway zymax 62)
some say 24lbs is best for smashing..BUT it really is an extremely personal thing

if you have a strong wrist and arm, you can go for higher tension like 25/26
i would say try zymax 62 at 23lbs first

personally, i think zymax is a good string and it's cheaper than BG66

note: zymax62 is 0.62mm while BG66 is 0.66mm

p/s: skill is more important than equipment so train up tongue.gif

just my humble opinion

Eyh I thought I mentioned 3UG4 ! Its player version of AT700.

Hehe, sending you pm now bro thlim78.

ziggy87 hows your current weapon so far ? I think my current one serving me really good. Btw its Panda Power Ultra II with BG66 25lbs, very fast, stiff racket. My smashes are powerful with AT700 but kinda slow in maneuverability.

Of course, but we hardly see each other now. What sport u are into currently ? Im having fever after coming back from New Vision last night due to overworked my body sweat.gif

On another note, Msia look disastrous currently in AE, all we need is SDK to demolish LCW tomorrow to complete our agony. Still Im rooting for LD LCW final showdown.

Still badminton and getting ready for paintball as well (as in gear) but currently nursing a back sprain cry.gif Think age has caught up with me sprained my back while sleeping blink.gif I don't know how it happened also. Wake up then rclxub.gif OUCH!

Didn't watch badminton that much as don't have much time for it. SDK could light it up to be nice .. hehehe known for being a giant killer. LD SDK shodown would be nice to watch too. Rematch for MO 2007 if not mistaken.
