QUOTE(ziggy87 @ May 15 2010, 03:37 AM) Playing style? I cant think of any lolz, long time since i last played badminton, prefer an all-rounder one. I've heard about apacs, are they really good? Budget around rm200 i think. I got a few choices after reading reviews and forum:1) Apacs Tantrum Shot 969 2)Apacs Tantrum Power 150 International 3)Apacs Visible Hollow 2000 4)Apac Rapier Z R 5)Apac Nano Fusion Speed 722 i am open to all other brands as long as it is valuable. I would love to have a racket that i wont be changing for some time. This post has been edited by ben3003: May 15 2010, 09:46 AM |

QUOTE(ziggy87 @ May 17 2010, 04:41 PM) first of all..i heard this..i don't own 1 (apacs z) Thanks for the info, ziggy87 it vibrates like a massager and the rapier (sg version) has a smaller frame than spark (mas version) vibration of the rapier is less than the spark but still very obvious i recommend the VH or Tantrum because they're apacs own range and not bad too..bang for buck if u're not sure wat type of racket suits u, then get the fusion or tantrum shot first..since they're cheap mind u..the fusion is 5u Added on May 17, 2010, 4:42 pm tat's kinda subjective isn't it? as in it differs for different people |

any good shoes anyone can recommend? budget probably around rm100 liek that. I just went to al-ikhsan saw nike court shoes selling around rm179, then my fren got an adidas court shoes for rm149, seems tempting >< How does it compare to yonex one? Seems liek yonex got more technology, but adidas and nike got brand reputation lolz, summore can wear walk walk also can because of the design.
Added on November 13, 2010, 4:37 pmis yonex at70 a good racket? what kind of style does the racket suit? This post has been edited by ben3003: Nov 14 2010, 07:49 PM |

so it is more an attacking racquet? I normally play doubles, i scare if defensive not too good, then it's hard lolz, unless i can improve my smash until 1 extend that my opponent hardly can return shot lolz.
But then, the more concerned for me is getting a shoes 1st, because my current line7 the sole alread worn out zzz.. maybe gonna try adidas or nike out 1st, because i dont know where to try yonex one lolz. This post has been edited by ben3003: Nov 15 2010, 04:42 PM |

i searched back and alot of ppl talking about asics shoes is kinda good, how does it fares with yonex shoes? SHB-85mx is like rm120, while asics range from rm160-200+. The think is, i dont know how yonex power cushion feels, but i have wore asics running shoes before and seriously, my feet doesnt pain after wearing it compared to those power shoes, so i highly rate asics shoes tho i dont really like the design

QUOTE(jonlee @ Nov 16 2010, 11:09 AM) Ben, it all depends on ur budget, purpose and whether u like the design...good quality Yonex shoes cost RM250 to above RM300 (street price / after discount) However, they also produce the Ultima range which is a lower end range (without Power Cushion) Oh, but then i see the Yonex Ultima 85 Pro should have power cushion those right? I dont know the eaxct coding of this, but i once google the shoes and it came out from yonex site that the shoes is having power cushion tech, just lack the lateral claw thingy. I saw some nike multicourt shoes, kinda tempting too, and my friend bought and adidas indoor shoes, also looking good as well, gonna try them today and see how it goes. How Power Cushion feels? well very comfortable if you like to jump a lot in a game, my legs dun feel painful after my sessions. Many years ago I wore Nike futsal shoes for badminton, then I switched to SHB-100 with Power Cushion. Now I'm wearing SHB-101 LTD and never look back ever since My suggestion is dun wear running shoes during badminton game, cos the sole is wider and not suitable for badminton. Get a pair of dedicated badminton shoes, in which u ONLY wear in court. dun wear for jalan jalan / jogging to prevent damaging the sole. Cheers Added on November 16, 2010, 11:17 am With ur budget you might be able to get NS800, or maybe if u meet a nice shop owner, he'll share with you which racket suits you. but all words and no action is kinda hard to justify whether the racket is for you or not, so it all comes down to 3 main types, Head heavy (offensive), balanced, and head light (defensive), pick one and go try In ur case (mostly defending) I think head light rackets is for u, as they are more responsive, however u need to have a faster swing (instead of just brute strength) to generate a powerful smash.. |

i just bought myself an asics gel-task version for rm215, saw ppl saying it is a more specific squash shoes, but then its and indoor shoes, i like the support of the shoes, altho abit heavy compared to other model, i dont wanna sacrifice cushioning and comfort for that bit of weight advantage, it might just give some annoying pain later on. i kinda thing the design arent bad lar, ut if compared to adidas and nike shoes, the later would have a better "brand appearance" la haha. BUt then, i no luck getting big shoes size for the later one, so i would just go for asics, much more suitable for my feet.

i think those powerconcept should be good enuf for sub rm100.. u can ask arc1414 to recommend u, he is a good seller with good info and recommendation. but i recommend u to buck up some more, becos sub 100 makes your learning stuck at sub 100 only, around rm150 then u can practice and learn more provided u do it the correct way.
