Has anyone experienced the D gear light blinking on the dashboard yet?

If so, how does it happen ar? Does it remain for a period of time, or does it flash for like 2 seconds.

I was waiting at the traffic light, in neutral, for the light to turn green. It turned green, then I shifted back to D. For awhile, like 2 seconds, the D light flashed. I got a bit worried. Then another traffic light, I turned back to neutral, and when the traffic light turned green, i shifted back to D but it didnt flash/blink anymore. Was it just a minor glitch in the backlight of the dashboard or am I having transmission problems?

Mine flashed for like 2 seconds, while I was a bit hesitant to switch from Neutral to D because the car in front had not moved yet, so maybe I did not fully push the gear down or what, I'm not sure. But it flashed for only abt 2 to 3 seconds..

I doubt if its a warning system that it will flash for such a short period of time that people wont be able to notice it?

Help please *SCREAMS* rclxub.gif

julnoel... kinda scary.

But did you 'feel' anything different when switching back to D?

Or you can just drive as normal?

its not up when im driving, but up when i start the car. Usually i wait till all the lights are gone, but recently i noticed that the airbag light came up and takes about 10-20sec to off.. Dont know if its normal anot, but it seems not normal to me smile.gif

Ic. But in my point of view, as long as the lights does not remain on, and eventually shuts itself off (although it will take longer) - that should be ok.

Unless you are very concerned about it, then it's better for you to go for a check.

Drive like normal :/ I still rev at about 2k rpm on normal driving, 2.5 to get to abt 80-90..3 to go to abt 100-110

Has anyone experienced this D light coming on before?? :/ I tried googling and apparently it will be flashing thru out your driving..not just for like 1 or 2 seconds..

SIGH. Hopefully its nothing..transmission gone then i guess ): everything is gone too t_t

Scary, air bag sensor lights up means something wrong with the car system. Go for a service checking. D driving mode flashing for a few seconds also is advice to go SC for checking. The sensor wire inside problem ?

the only way i can justify what happened is that...if its some kind of warning system :/ why would it have only flashed for like 1 to 2 seconds? lol..

thats like quite a dumb warning system? no? and yes i am in denial. i do not wish my car to be problematic. t_T

today so far i drove okay,no flashing whatsoever...

so i guess its just..my hesitation to change from Neutral to D lah. smile.gif but if anyone has experienced, do ahre

Hi, i hope someone could answer my questions here.

Not too long ago i accidentally hit someone's Blue color Honda city 3rd gen at the bumper site. Body is scratch free, only the front bumper got hit.

So, the front bumper itself "kemek" a little and it came down for less then 2-3cms. It is not that serious but it is a new car so...

I would like to repair it and spray for that particular spot or for the whole bumper, but i am kinda reluctant to change the new bumper for that particular owner unless the bumper cannot be fixed AT ALL.

I would like to ask how much would it be to repair the whole thing. I've heard that there is no way to mudguard the kemek site because the the bumper is made of plastic. Is it true? But the mudguard guy said if its not big then it shouldnt be a problem.

The owner check with the Honda centre and total fixed (new bumper + Spray) will be less than 1k. But i've call some guys outside and they said it costs less than RM 400 (without changing the new bumper). So 1k and RM 400 is a big different.

Anyone can answer my questions. Please only constructive opinions.

Regards,
neato4u

absolute.. were you the one who hit my bumper and run...
lol.. just kidding, mine got scratched at behind.. dunno who did it sweat.gif

i met with an accident once, front bumper pecah and got hole.. scratches all over. Went to this shop so they put cement there at hole to cover nicely.. then spray paint on bumper. Cost me about RM300

Shop is at sri kembangan, near equine park. PM me and maybe we can meet up and I can show you the shop (later buy me teh tarik!) laugh.gif

@neato4u, so nice that you are staying near that area. I hope i am staying near to you too,can hang out together. SC price is usually 2-3x more expensive than outside service, someone will still prefer to go SC.
