QUOTE(SpIcYjOe @ Sep 26 2008, 09:37 PM) I saw the video... it has real time street view of traffic... google actually sent people out into the street driving around all day long taking pictures of the street traffic... 1. it's not real-time street view. it's real street view but not displayed in real time. just like google maps. But i doubt this is available here in MY 2. not all areas are covered with street view. and it's still not that extensive even in US. but it's still expanding as for now, but still the countries that got street view is not that much. u can check the areas included from Areas Included on this wiki, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Google_Street_View u can always see for yourself the Google Steet View either on Google Earth or Google Maps here for me, street view is very cool but more like a novelty that is not so useful. anyway it's an uber cool feature. QUOTE(moyong @ Sep 26 2008, 12:41 PM) No offense but typical Malaysians behavior, only wants to buy & own the phone because of the hype and awesomeness to own it. Do your homework, at least a little bit. T-Mobile G1 Android Phone made by HTC, does ring any bell to you? T-Mobile is a carrier from German so it's an exclusive phone, tied to only that network. Just like how iPhone first tied with AT&T until iPhone 3G then Apple decided to launch with multiple more carriers. Added on September 27, 2008, 9:55 pmUSD399 for no-contract. The only hype worth looking is only the Android OS, nothing more.

QUOTE(jimnuz @ Sep 28 2008, 01:35 AM) looks like it should beat WinMob hands down. from the demo it should be a very solid OS for mobile use, backed by the Android community, stable operation, feature packed, and the hardware itself is a powerhouse. only the phone design is kinda awkward.so yup, the android is kinda impressive, and it should be hundred times better than WinMob excluding some functions still missing on it like Exchange syncing. but being as an open source platform and backed by the community, looks like any shortcomings can be easily rectified either on next update or third party. a very promising platform, but still early to decide whether it will be a successful platform or not. aside from that, the T-Mobile G1 looks ugly. |

I think its more on tmobile's side that its ugly. A lot of tmobile phones are well ugly or youth oriented looking especially in the colors they choose to sell.
http://www.t-mobile.com/shop/phones/ thats their line up they offer. |
