Anyone know where to repair the G1?
Screen blank only backlight working.... open it up to replace the case!
Which was fine, but then had to open it up again cause I forgot to place back the speaker , then it went blank. All cables and connectors are in place. I'm thinking the flex cable is damage.

Maybe this is an excuse to change another android!
But would still like to get it repaired.

any one wanna trade it with my touch pro ?

@BanZaiBug: Replacing the case? U bought new case for G1 is it? By the way, you could try to contact SiS and tell them your problem. They might help you by sending it to the service center and will charge you some money.

well, most of us here r Eclair 2.1 user.....some r even on Froyo.....
but due to hardware capabilities of G1 most Froyo rom made by xda guys are still buggy....

thats is the reason i'm stay away from Froyo......still u may try if u really wana taste froyo! haha......

regarding usb headset u wana use from touch pro, still able to listen normally just that answer & volume button on headset itself wont b working...

bought for around rm570 good price? condition is perfect though comes with 2gb,cables and usual stuff

guy said its a standard rom. noting done to it so im assuming not rooted?

easy to flash rom for android? hmm where to get the original dream headphones?

it would easier to flash rom if previous owner flashed recovery image & root.....
otherwise u'll have to starts from scratch.....
but dun worry there r guide ready for newbie how to root stuff.....
juz take a bit time to read....

btw where do u guys find accessories for ur dream?

accessories like screen protector and pouch like that

u get a few extra functions that are not available on the G1, coz the G1 is updated till 1.6 only i tink..

and accessories, i didnt get any, well coz i didnt tink i needed any, nor did could i find any..

Some custom ROMs improve performance, making it speedier, especially the more recent Froyo ones. For now though, I use CyanogenMod 2.1 Eclair 5.0.8.

cannot get the latest android? 2.0 is it?

For RM570, it's a definitely a good price

But as Klemann C said, if previous owner flashed recovery image & root.....it'll be easier for you.

dunno whether still got stock or not. Last time I bought from him, there's only 2 left so I bought all of it. Hehe. This phone so rare because this is an old model. First generation of android ( First Google Phone ).

No more new stock and the G1 is officially updated till 1.6. But there's still got dev try as hard as they can and wanna push this phone to it's own limit. That's why we got custom rom and we are able to flash eclair and froyo to our model. Ganas kan? Hahahaha
