Bad news! Magic is being delayed! - Vodafone's HTC Magic reportedly delayed until May

Will it also affecting our cupcake? Will the delays now could ultimately lead up to many more delays later. Sei for lor 

The hype is actually more about the OS-Android. Wats the point of having a pretty phone with an OS that sucks n needs constant rebooting (Read: Windows Mobile). The outstanding capabilities of Android trumps any shortcomings the hardware MIGHT have. Remember Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder.

same like iphone's screen but smaller? but is it as smooth as iphone's OS? same or better or worse?

Muah...ha...ha... now my droid doesn't need chompsms ^^P, doesn't need a third party virtual keyboard anymore 

Because updated it to Magic Rom 1.5 (Magic Radio rom also) with Cupcake goodies.

It needs to do a wipe, now have to restore with mybackup.

Still checking/testing on its stability ^^)

The firmware size is bigger than JF1.43h, not much space left for other apps installation.

Heh! You are rite. This Magic rom is simply too big for G1, left very little space for the apps.

Really hope our G1's cupcake come in before the official Magic launched. 

There is a paid app in the market to overclock (or clocking) the rooted G1. If anyone tried it, please have some report on the performance here also ^^;

Just a little update: Installed overclock app on my Hybrido. Set it to 528MHz (the max our droid meant to handle is 528, but being underclocked to 328MHz (high) & 248MHz (low/sleep) by default). Will see how it goes further. ^^;

Have you installed any new apps lately (since yesterday)??

I have no major issue with Maxis lately, just some signal dropped but it came back within few seconds.

 
Guys, think we still need to wait bit longer for our official cupcake, since the SDK for cupcake was just beta released last nite so hopefully more and more apps will start working with the 1.5 firmware but until then there's really not a whole lot to be done with them.

Now most of the 1.1 apps in the market are not fully working on my 1.5 Magic rom. I have to compromise on this.

i want this fone SO BADLY!!!!!!!!!! but the stupid cupcake update is not out yet, and i dun haf the money yet.. darn it.. btw, does anybody noe where i can buy this fone??? any shop in particular that provides warranty??? and anywhere i can get this fone cheaper???
