Hmm... seems like it took about 2-3 minutes to download the 37+mb Cupcake. Pretty fast eh.
If not mistaken, Schroddy_Cat also got the update and download less than 5 minutes over WIFI. But his problem is no signal with the cupcake even after a factory reset.

It looks like the update package is corrupted during downloading (suspecting only)....Guys make sure you got strong signal (wifi/3g) before performing the OTA update.

Ok guys, for those who are having problem with their OTA Cupcake, and would like to update it manually again, you may try these steps:

1) Download the OTA file from here (should be the first one)
2) Make sure u download it correctly, double check the size of the file.
3) Then follow the steps on this page (those images are for RC33, but should be similar for CRB43)

Disclaimer: I take no responsibility on the outcome from these steps, but if you already frustrated with your droid why not teach him a lesson 
                Do whatever backup you can/want before proceed ya!!.....and sufficient battery juices!!

PS: this is for non-rooted droid with original T-Mobile OTA RC33 or lower.

It should be alright to update it again without downgrade to RC33 since you already have the corrupted CRB33.

I have 1 more question though, how do i know whether i have the latest jf roms?

Under model number, mine says:

ANDROID DEV PHONE 1

is that ok? what do u have?

and what's the differenece between jf, hayakuro and so on?

You may look at the: Menu--> settings--> About phone-->scroll to the end --> what's ya Kernel Ver & Build Number?

Mine Hybrido is currently with Dude HTC Dream version + kernel 2.6.27.24 under toxygene.

JF only mod the official Cupcake from T-mobile/HTC.
HayKuro (was) doing the Sapphire/Magic/Hero ported to G1/Dream
The Dude is enhancing the 1.5 version, hybriding those available roms out there.

If you done with JF version, I may suggest you to try out the Google Ion rom from Haykuro.... it's just Too Fast Too Furious

Yes! I'm on Google Ion and its fast. Everything works so far. Haven't try Hero yet but I heard its gonna be laggy... too bad it doesn't have enough RAM. The new HTC Magic (RM2699! WTH) has 288MB which is unfair 

I'm using Dude1.3beta7 now.
Will test out Hero when my droid is ready for it ^^0

OMG, the official price is a killing! With 2.7k, I would rather go for two unit of G1, or maybe try out N97 since its almost a perfection.

Yes, check LYN front page. It was launched over the weekend at Zouk and at a price of RM2699 (too expensive). So this is official and no more T-Mobile stuff.

Frankly speaking if want to go Magic might as well keep the G1 and get the upcoming iPhone. More things to play!

Yes same here. Which is why I like phones like the Palm Pre and Touch Pro2. Too bad Palm Pre isn't a world phone (its currently non-GSM). I always had the impression that physical keyboard is the greatest thing until I typed on iPhone/iTouch OS's virtual keyboard. Virtual keyboard still hold its place I guess. Of course WM's default virtual keyboard is a joke hahahaha!

Since they already able to root it, i wonder if people are going to buy it? Rm 1999 for the phone with a contract seems pricey though. But way cheaper then iphone though.

Actually a lot of down side for HTC Lancester also, read some reviews from other web links...

HTC Ori should able to be rooted by now, but just have to pay some attention of the models. (or should i call it sub models).

I like the big trackball... just the screen abit too small for such a good device... should put in 3.5 at least hor?! 

I double check the price it's rm 1999, and they offered to packages to me, my current maxis package, which is rm 50 for calls and 98 for unlimited data. or you can take the 250 one.
RM 1999 for a smartphone like this seems ok to me.
