i bring along the purchase receipt, but the gal at the counter nvr asked for it... just scanned the barcode on the phone then ask me to write down the problem...

anyway, i got my phone back today... they said they had tested with 2 batteries and had no prob with it... can turn green... but i have requested them to update the rom... so all they have changed is just update the latest rom...
i will monitor how it goes again...
Even thou i fear it is the hardware that caused it but i suspect it could be the software... coz if i turn it off, after a few minutes it will turn green...

The latest rom now have google maps and a google map search tab in the touchflo bar... SMS font size is bigger too... But i feel the scroll in touchflo is not as smooth as it used to... lag a wee bit with the scrolling animation.... and i dunno why active sync keep appearing in the program switching menu, even thou i have not launch it.....

What's the best resolution for photos used in caller ID ah?

I just buy a new Touch 3G few week ago, but I check the build in memory at system info, it showing :

Program Memory : 123.3 MB

Storage Memory : 98.4 MB

is it consider normal?

I'm a newbies to PDA Windows Mobile phones.

I'm just wondering if the RAM and FLASH size for Touch 3G can be increased to the same as Diamond2? Below is the specs of both phones.

Touch 3G
CPU: QUALCOMM 7225
Speed: 528MHz
RAM: 192mb
FLASH: 256mb

Diamond2
CPU: QUALCOMM 7200A
Speed: 528MHz
RAM: 288mb
FLASH: 512mb

This idea came along because one of the sales assistance where i bought the Touch 3G from owns a Diamond1. He said that he have increased the RAM/FLASH of his Diamond1 and it reduces lagging. He told me that Touch 3G has the same specs as Diamond1. So, I'm wondering if the RAM and FLASH increase could be done for Touch 3G also so that the RAM and FLASH is the same as Diamond2? Well, TOUCH 3G has the same processor speed as Diamond2, so that's why I'm asking this question.

Additionally, I would like to also ask the following questions to the pros here:

1. If the RAM and FLASH increase can be done for Touch 3G, where can I do it?
2. If the RAM and FLASH increase could be done it would theoritically reduce the slowness and lagging of Touch 3G, right?
3. Can TF3D be run on Touch 3G (original, no increase in RAM/FLASH) and will it cause lagging and hang?
4. If RAM and FLASH increase could be done on Touch 3G to the same as Diamond2, then, can it run TF3D without lagging and hang?
5. Most importantly, where can I get people who provide service of increasing the RAM and FLASH?
6. Can Touch 3G (original) runs CE OS 5.2.21041 (same as Diamond2)

FYI, I've just bought both Diamond2 and Touch 3G yesterday. Diamond2 is intended as gift and I'll be using Touch 3G cos I like the outlook of it (girl mah...). Then when i played around with Diamond2 after I bought it, i fell in love with its smoothness, no lagging and no hang. Now I wanted a Diamond2 instead. So, am wondering if the possibilities above could be done, before i decides to go exchange my Touch 3G with another Diamond2. Sure rugi...

answrig to your question above

1. RAM is hardware not software therefore it cant be done. but you still able to upgrade your Software by Flashing to Custom ROM.
2. Upgrade to Custom rom or official fix rom will improve the slow/lag issues.
3. TF3D can only run on VGA/WVGA Screen.

5. i thing you've misunderstood the sales assist , what he meant probably is Flashing the ROM will increase the speed or performance on your devices.

yohoo. I use htc t3g since dec. well now I am thinking about its on off button. seems a little bit 'deepen' and not as nicer to press as compared to newly purchased time. anyone having this kind of prob with the on-off button? I scare it might malfunction after few months of use.

Anyway. is there anything such as, mini-usb to 3.5mm socket for earphone plug-in? and if so, where got sell ar?

Yeah, i also got my T3G around December and i've noticed that the button has "deepen" it also sometimes become less sensitive already. Don't think there's a solution for it just yet, still hunting around for a solution.

And i think there's a converter that HTC that allows you to change from the mini-USB to 3.5mm Audio Jack. Remember it's around 100+, but i think if u look elsewhere maybe can get cheaper convertor.
