You do not need to increase vCore on 45nms until you start to hit a substantial wall...

Maybe you got a "landmine" batch CPU, this time it's 45nm instead of the Q6600s?

It's increasingly common on Intel's "best deal" CPUs... the E7k series and upwards is okay though.

Is it worth to sell off my e4300 and change to this?
Performance might not increase by a lot but feel like trying something new.

Hi there, I checked here and can't find any E5220.  Did you mean E2220?  if you meant E2220 then the diffrenence is that the E5200 is of 45nm + 2MB L2 cache and runs at 2.5GHz (200x12.5).

Yeah, would like to see how does the E5200 perform in comparison to C2D E7200 for the RM130-140 price difference.

If only my D946GZIS can support these new guys...  sweat.gif

Landmine is a bad chip by itself. I dunno, but all of a sudden, ever since the Q6600 dropped below 200USD, the bad stuff- and that's the G0s!- now started to appear.

The E5200 might be the E7200 leftovers, just like the E2k were the E4k leftovers. If your P45 can't push it I'm pretty much out of ideas on what can.
