You do not need to increase vCore on 45nms until you start to hit a substantial wall...
Maybe you got a "landmine" batch CPU, this time it's 45nm instead of the Q6600s?
It's increasingly common on Intel's "best deal" CPUs... the E7k series and upwards is okay though.

Landmine is a bad chip by itself. I dunno, but all of a sudden, ever since the Q6600 dropped below 200USD, the bad stuff- and that's the G0s!- now started to appear. The E5200 might be the E7200 leftovers, just like the E2k were the E4k leftovers. If your P45 can't push it I'm pretty much out of ideas on what can.
