u can ask your sellers to give u 1 HP/Compaq Recovery Disk. It contains all drivers needed for your model.

The 3 years warranty has 2 types. HP engineer onsite service & bring back to HP service centre. Normally it's at RM199. Onsite service is rather rare because only limited to corporate buyer.

There's a HP/Compaq seller at LYN if you buy laptop with him he can include HP engineer onsite service for RM170. His LYN nick is underGr0und_8.

Delivery is usually FOC.

Added on October 8, 2008, 5:39 pmU will either get Geforce 9200M or Intel X4500 only. U dont get both in ur laptop. If you have the sticker "Graphics by Nvidia" means urs is Geforce 9200M lor. Just install Nvidia GPU driver is enough.

Added on October 12, 2008, 11:00 pmCQ series are designed for Vista (although can be run on XP). You can try install the vista drivers if you couldnt find the XP one, somehow sometimes it works.

Could be using the WRONG wireless drivers. Try Broadcom wireless driver first, if not working, then uninstall.

Try with Intel Wireless Driver.

Either one should be working fine with your lappy. (Coz i dont know which wireless chipset your lappy having)

Where's "disk shrinking feature in disk management" function located in Vista?

I am proud user of CQ45-129TX. No complaint except kinda hot at left palm rest area.

Make sure you install 4gb ram to fully utilize the horse power. hehe

Have you installed all drivers mentioned in 1st post of this thread?

All laptops come with 2 RAM slots only.

I am using 800mhz 2 x 2gb Kingston.

Install this first:
UAA (Microsoft Universal Audio Architecture Bus Driver for High Definition Audio)

Then install this later:
IDT HD Audio Driver (need installed UAA first)
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp38501-39000/sp38558.exe

Mine one can right click what... Enable/Disable no problem.

Are you using the correct driver? Download and install SoftPaq no. SP39041 and see?

My CQ45-129TX the heat comes from left palm rest area. It's where the Hitachi HDD at below.

No heat on other areas.

I would suggest you go for option 1 or 3.

It's best to install with extra 2 x 2gb RAM = 4gb. Ditch the original 1gb RAM. It gonna cost u extra ~RM240. hehe.

So it seems like u only left with option 1. lolz.

p/s: CQ45-129TX come with Finger Print sensor, in which it's quite fun. Can log in windows with a finger swipe. hehe.

CQ40-129AX no Wireless N meh?

As i said, it's up to u. hehe.

Nvidia 9200M no heat feeling at all. I dont even know where the chipset located. Coz no heat ma. lolz.

But for ur info, C2D processor under normal circumstances, the speed only at 1.6Ghz due to power saving. Enough to use lor.. i dont see any slowness also.

Then dont get CQ40. Coz hardly to get full XP driver support. Might not have future driver update too. :s

CQ40 also got all drivers support. But for Vista only lolz.

All 14.1" laptop are at same weight. Regardless brand, that's ~2.4kg.

I only not satisfied on the heat generated on left palm rest area + gloosy easily-get-scratch front panel.

Vista is excellent la... why dont give a try? equipped with 4gb RAM, run everything smoothly. Visual effect is awesome too!
