QUOTE(celciuz @ Oct 15 2008, 08:29 PM) lol, if it's drivers problem, if i waited for *snip* also the same the card gives me BSOD everytime i restart my machine, so i had to shut it down first and switch it on again in case i need to restart it tested with 9600GT and the machine could restart just fine so now the seller is testing whether it's drivers problem or the hardware problem |

i tried already, i am not sure whether its my Vista x64 problem or the HD4670 problem, but here is what i found
when i got to the main menu, there was no animation, yeah, u know, the gunfighting stuff, and the default graphic option seems to set everything to low then i dragged everything to maximum, turning on every features, and tried to run the game. and it could run just fine, and terribly fast until i got pwned within 10 minutes there, hope ur system could perform better than mine UPDATE: confirm the animation is the x64 problem, i tried running it in compatibility mode and it ran just fine. but then, after a game of skirmish, crashed to desktop This post has been edited by cyew86: Oct 16 2008, 11:48 PM |

the only performance drop that i noticed is longer boot time into windows
i'd prefer that over BSOD anytime though |

kinda agree with that, at 30% fan speed, my card can reach max 40 degrees+ and about 33 degrees at idle (in air conditioned room)
but even without turning on the aircond, i have never seen my card passing 50 degrees |

QUOTE(gulhalim @ Oct 17 2008, 09:01 PM) hello guys, personally using ASUS EAH4670, no problem now although at first it caused BSOD (drivers issue, think happen with all the cards regardless of brand with Vista x64, now solved with Catalyst 8.10)i am planing to get myself ATi 4670 which brand do u think is the best? and i have a question 1)I will be using a crt monitor, would there be any problem. Cause i heard that 4670 have prob with CRT monitor? 2)How good would this card perform on P4 3.0/2M/800 heard that Gainward is not bad either, and u can consider HIS HD4670 ICEQ Turbo as well (although the fan is said to be more audible) 1. using it with CRT is not an issue coz i am using CRT as well, no problem 2. depends on what u meant "how good", i wouldn't want this card to run Crysis but so far it runs max setting on C&C3, Counter-Strike Source, Age of Empires 3, Generals, and Battlefield Vietnam without problem |

QUOTE(gulhalim @ Oct 17 2008, 09:45 PM) Thanks for your reply, well i dont like too much noise too it has fan inside the cover, and it occupies 2 slotsSo there is MSI,ASUS,Gecube,Gigabyte,Gainward,Sapphire and HIS(did i miss any other brand out) so among these brand which one does give the longest and the best warranty and price wise too. I can get Gainward 4670 for RM305 but it sure looked weird ASUS' fan is silent, can't hear any noise at all but i am not sure about others, but Gigabyte has 3 years warranty as well. the rest u can do some search for info |

lol, maybe 600W would be better
but the minimum requirement stated in official website says ... 500W cooler master real power still ok, but not extreme power but there are many better brands out there, e.g. Silverstone, FSP, Corsair, Gigabyte ODIN This post has been edited by cyew86: Oct 17 2008, 11:22 PM |

try this, should be around 350W only last time the seller told me even 500W can support HD4870 |
