Yeah 500W can power up the 4870 but not that stable for sure.
I've had a bad experience running 4850 on 550W true power
*
maybe coz u overclocked ur rig? i run everything at stock so should be alright if run HD4850
HD4870, might have to think twice tongue.gif

i noticed that in this thread most of the forummers here own 4850/4870, 4670/4650/4550 users are quite ... rare here ... doh.gif

anyway, just to put an update, managed to run Stalker Clear Sky at max setting (default is high) smoothly, but do not know about the later stages coz i test run at the beginning of the game only (on HD4670)

nvidia is getting desperate now laugh.gif
but if HD4830 is set to be sold at around RM480, then it would not be that attractive anymore, as it is not that far from HD4850

Hmm, looks like it's way over the RRP then. AMD/ATI was aiming this card for $100 bracket IIRC, so the real selling price should be about RM 400. Guess getting one will have to wait.

have to consider the cost of importing as well, with the USD appreciating, the cost of IT equipments are rising
can already see some items increasing in price

the OC version would be better and looks nicer too (in my opinion) tongue.gif it has better cooler too but that is not an issue with HD4670 as it is not hot at all
but Gainward is popular here, so no offense to Gainward's fans icon_rolleyes.gif
but the difference should not be significant, go for whichever brand that you prefer
