my asus 4850 reach 92c when playing games, quite hot, if I on ac then around 70c, my previous 8800gtx never reach this temp but that's because got dual slot cooler, overall for the price I do love ati but need to make sure got proper cooling...

may b stay on the ASUS TOP bios too long?..............

hahaha me 2 use 2 be asus fan but the asus 4870 packaging has been sucky 4 my taste which turns me off big time huhuhu...the custom asus 4870 not included...i still got asus as my main P45 mobo though

because 2 be rock solid and heart touching, must pay more

I just recently bought my asus 4850 512mb and install the 8.11 which already got the fan control but I just leave it default, the problem I think is no dual slot cooling, got many ppl complain actually but I still bought it...I did however install an external fan to cool it down, with ac on I now get 77c which is much better then 92c...

I can post the link if anyone wants to know how bad the heating issue is with 4850, its on newegg...

about the heat issue, maybe only non dual slot cooler like mine have the heat issue but I don't know for sure...

also recently my friend tole me that 4870x2 is no longer the speed king, izit true, planning to buy it but seems like nvidia have captured the speed king again... can any confrm kah???

the cheapest on the market is gaygay and then powercolor then asus etc...
and d price in LYN especially d GS model is way expensive...

i read a review on 4870 TOP b4.
it actually uses slight lower power even though it is OC version.
also slightly lower noise & lower heat................

i think the best think of 4870 TOP is the bios, which u can dl free on9...........

lolz no la the X2 is still the king...now the current line of competition is HD4870 vs GTX260 which 4870 512MB version smokes the 260 192SP version...here is one part of the benchmark of one of my favourite racing game which is the main factor that convinces me 2 buy 4870 quickly
