Hotfix details
The internal serial number of the Hotfix is 8.541-081009a. It seems to be a modified Catalyst 8.10 (8.541-080923a). With a HD 4870 the driver is causing problems in Far Cry 2 running on Windows Vista x64 - aberrations and lags prevent the record of useful results. We experienced the same problems with another model of the graphics card. The Radeon HD 4870 X2 on the other hand was running smooth.

We've some bad news here vmad.gif , seems like the drivers problem on ATi hotfix using HD4870 & what bout HD4850? why not they try on Windows Vista x86?

Arh!!! My 4850GS is slow on Crysis Warhead. I suddenly feel 4850 is not a fast card.

Actually I was playing at Enthusiast setting. Gamer setting is quite laggy too at first stage.

Although Crytek claim CW is faster then the original crysis but I can play the old one at very high setting smoothly but CW is slow.

I'll try to update to driver 8.10 and see how it perform.

Bad news, the hotfix for far cry 2 is far from complete. Check guru3d for details. Only a crossfire profile was made (main reason why 4870x2 2GB pwned everyone at far cry 2). Check it out yourself, even at lower resolutions, gtx 260 beats 4870 by quite a big margin.

Too lazy to make a new post. I'm going to wait if I'm ever buying a 4830. Sapphire's cooler looks UGLY(not to mention I like it red better).
