Girls, do u get more stare/attention at u when u r wearing pantyhose? do u like those? i believe girls do get more attention when they do wear one, cos i myself will look more at those girls. dun get me wrong, not horny stare, but just 'wow'...

Does anyone feel actually wearing pantyhose/tight (opaque or sheer) with skirt is more comfortable than wearing long jeans or pants? I don't like to wear jeans or pants because very hot and bulky, but pantyhose and skirt is much comfortable to wear. I don't know why some ladies said pantyhose is very hot, don't they think Jeans or pants are thicker and bulkier plus a lot warmer.

Hot weather wearing long jeans or pants is no no for me, I won't wear it when the weather is over 30'C. Sometimes I was wondering how those men can stand such hot weather wearing jeans and pants.

back to the topic, from what i can see most of the malaysian ladies prefer pantyhose instead of thigh high stockings... isn't that they worry the stockings slip? but then they can wear with garter belt... from what i can see, wearing thigh high is more convenient when go to toilet compare with pantyhose... is it because of thigh high are more troublesome when wearing or other else reason?

Been wearing thigh-high stocking before, one word to describe it, uncomfortable, keep sliping down, use garter belt also too troublesome. Actually wearing tigh-high stocking or pantyhose also the same when go to toilet, no different.

I think you are not lady, so maybe you won't understand. When go to toilet, the extra thin layer from pantyhose won't make any inconvenience to you at all.

thanks for the info silkygirl... even a lady who very into stockings like silkygirl also doesn't prefer thigh high... from that we can know that why malaysia's shops sells more pantyhose than thigh high stockings...

i've ask few of my ladies friend before about thigh high and garter belt... they also say is trouble some... sometimes the when the stockings slip it will pull down the garter belt as well, sometimes the garter belt's clip on the stockings will un-clip if u didn't clip it properly, or if you wear tight skirt can see the mark of the garter belt on it

maybe it just meant for "precious moment" only???

I've tried the 5 toes, it feels weird coz you don't have that tight feeling enclosing the toes anymore.
So it seems like you can't feel the hose on your feet. some ppl might like it, some ppl maybe not so much.

I've since reverted back to normal hosiery.

I bought the Leggs pantyhose on the internet. I have found that only the pantyhose with sizes will fit comfortably, those selling in Malaysia all is free size and it won't fit comfortably, if it is not too big, than it is too small/short. Actually I started wearing pantyhose in the early age because it was introduced by my friends, some of them are ballet dancer, they said tight/pantyhose is very comfortable to wear, first I also not really believe it because I always think that bare leg it better, but after trying a pair of ballet tight of my friend, it is amazing, so until now I still wearing it pantyhose/tight. One thing I found on the internet, right now got "tight trend for men" just take a look at one of these websites "http://www.comfilon.com", I was wondering if I buy one pair for my hubby, will he wear it?

leggs sheer energy active support.. is sheer, looking at it directly, against light shining on it,gives a little reflection, I thought the effect is pretty sweet though I am not into opaque style. Also very smooth and glide under pants as well and never too thick until I cannot breath. 

Also. some of matt finishing do not usually has this shine effect. The cheapo type need no mention at all, shows up pretty well when it has a run.

on the example, depends on taste, I thought it was quite ok. In fact, some of my after work hour outings, to movies/ mall shopping, happened to be just like that with daytime sheer working hose, of course, shedding the formal skirt/suits.

I could be wrong on this, opaque caught on locally maybe is due to the strength of it, does not run that easily and practical enough, of course media influence from korea/taiwan/hk/japan, even some local 8tv host during some talent show, also wear this combination.  Maybe hose manufacturer has done something to help drying up the sweat, else thick opaque tights probably more suited to cooler climate (going genting ?).  Even with sheer style hosiery, I still can feel sweaty at times.

Shorts with fishnet is probably nice too. if not black, skin color fishnet is not a bad idea. I have seen some design with very fine net. But I am still stick to my support style..sorry

Hosiery for dancer, they have some fishnets too. I knew dancer are very rough with their clothing and to be able to withstand that wear and tear should be quite durable type. Only thing it was not mentioned, cotton crotch design. I was tempted with their footed hosiery range, the convertible design is a pretty neat idea.

Anyway, I could be wrong about the opaque as just fashion trend and hype.

On 1 thing I totally agreed, it is very classy (outright sexy) to be on little black dress and black pantyhose, any pattern at all , opaque, sheer or even fishnets. The only caveat is, you need to have decent bodies too.

I was in this formal wedding dinner, a few years ago, this lady into 40s, petite but very good shape was wearing figure hugging LBD, but no hose at all , to rub more salt to the wounds, there were even a few patches of spider vein visible, really a let down. Even slipping on a pair of sheer hose, spray on air stockings could help, but no . A bit like a authentic Mona Lisa painting that uses a cheap plastic frame. 

If your gf dislikes hosiery, perhaps you should entice her with wolford as birthday gift, and send her to read my suggestions. I have good feeling she will change her mind and dress to feel good than to be dictated by what outside fashion trend says is good or bad.

Yes, that's the one. My mistake, it is 6od. It's a bargain comparing to those cheap hosiery from other brand. This M&S can last you for a while.
Talking about cheap brand, I happen to have few pairs of grey colour pantyhose sold in Guardian. Quite smooth, and the colour looks nice under light. I saw a sales lady wearing it, so went ahead to ask her where she got it. She's quite happy to tell me, and I guess I'm lucky of not getting a slap on the face or weird look

I am new here, I was reading the thread with interesting feeling. I like to share my experience and I am not selling hosiery for living.

Some wanted fancy looking tights,some thought of it as passing trend, too hot and humid for our country, mostly for the sake of fashion,some thinking of it as business,  as for me, is more of necessity . I wear pantyhose on daily basis, it was troublesome initially , some younger colleague even thought of wearing skin color hose as being old lady. Wearing pantyhose as professional wardrobe is more like dying arts.

In my late 20s, few years ago, I took on job involves in consulting and marketing. Where I was on my feet most of the time. Company has guidelines of female staff wearing hosiery all the time, and no exception, matching dark suit pants or skirt, knee length. As for hosiery, only two colors allow, black or skin tone and no other color, no fancy looking patterns, we meet customers almost on daily basis. I know some of you boys out there must be fantasizing about OL, don;t even think about that.

Initially was quite a nag, I used to buy cheap brand that ripped easily. At some stage, keeping an extra pair in my handbag was never enough, I also avoid black color pantyhose and opted for skin color, in case it runs, at least not too obvious. Price and brand do make a big different.

I was fortunate enough to have opportunity to travel to US a few times, where I bought some US brand (no wolford and anything pricey o designer ), I bought Hanes Alive support and Leggs active support, around U$7 a pair. It was very lasting, and interestingly, it is where I discovered benefit of support hosiery. Being on my feet all the time can be very helpful wearing support pantyhose, it hugs the leg very well and make you feel less tiring. Only 1 warning, it took some effort to pull them on, believe me..

Incidentally, I got to know some flight attendant while in US, they were the one recommended Hanes support to me. I also asked a flight attendant friend before, she sold me Kolotex shear relief from Australia, she and her colleague using it all the time. It was quite good, very lasting , and compress leg well at lower ankle region. Actually, Kolotex relief packaging cover features two flight attendants !

I usually dislike very high heels, (~ 2inches), worn with support hose, quite refreshing even at the end of the day, , much less tiring leg. An important reminder is, support hose comes in sizes, you need to know well about the right size when buying them, the cheap brand that claims one size/free size fits all never worked, one size over is usually ok.Good quality durable pantyhose usually has higher spandex content, makes it more stretchable.

The second part of the story, hot and humid. That is how I noticed the design of pantyhose from overseas, it has nice special crotch design between two legs , those cheap brand made locally usually lacked that feature and ripped between legs easily. There were some brand that comes with knitted panty pattern, yes, it was supposed to be worn without panties , at least I never believed that before I was told by the flight attendant friend (please don't get wrong idea about flight attendant). In hot humid condition, yeast infection usually thrives in moist environment. The best is leave them ventilated without extra panties in between, sorry guys, it's about female hygene education time. Wearing panties below also leave the pantyhose to slide down much more easily,yes, pantyhose worn in direct contact skin makes it stay up much better . Some ladies complain a lot about after lunch, pantyhose is almost down to knees, makes walking difficult.

Many ladies, myself included used to think that pantyhose was like a pair of sock to be worn before flying out of the door, actually, the best way to wear pantyhose is before even wearing anything, best done in front of full length mirror, seated prperly . Usually not properly pull up or twisted leg makes it uncomfortable to wear.  I used to struggle pulling my hose obscured by skirt, after sometimes, tearing it instead.  I realized that some effort is usually needed to roll the leg part and pull it up properly to cover the body, after that do a thorough inspection in mirror front. To me, I began to appreciate the benefit of pantyhose only when I managed to  wear them properly and tried out decent quality .Even with suit pants, I usually prefer support pantyhose over knee hi, knee-hi left nasty looking marks after full day of wearing.

Pantyhose for me is more than just cosmetic feature to conceal imperfection or wardrobe formality, it gives me nice feel of support and comfort too. When I travel, it provided extra layer of warmth.

As for the brave man that resorted to wearing pantyhose, I have nothing but praise, yes, you are free to wear anything you like, for your own benefit.

Have you guys notice an increase of girls wearing pantyhose when you go out ? I do, I live in small city Kuching, and almost everytime I go out I notice some ladies with pantyhose. Like this afternoon at a deconstruction site, I was waiting for a lorry to arrive, sitting in my car. A OL walk past in sheer black pantyhose. I thought to myself about the early postings in this thread and how funny that for almost every 5 pair of naked legs I see at least 1 covered in nylons... then the lady gave me a sweet smile, I smiled back and she got into her car. And off to work.

I think most young girls now a days wear opaque more or are more aware of it, due to influences from Japan, Korea and Taiwan. And probably a lot from anime's.

@Rodney Seems like your into photography as well as I. In the past few years that I have been taking photographs I only had 1 or 2 occasions where the model wore pantyhose. Once was grey and another was black. I found that it was pretty challenging to shoot. No matter how I try it came out either flat or dull... 

Anyways nearly none of our local models that I have had the opportunity to work with like to wear pantyhose. I suppose bad experience from bad hose.

Every time I go to a shopping mall, I see all kinds of pantyhose, opaque, sheers, patterned, colorful etc.

Today, I just had lunch with a model (Ms. Sydney Wong) who wears pantyhose in all her photoshoots from my facebook list... I ask her is it requested by the photographers as a citeria or just her own effort. She said it was her own effort due to her legs inperfection of scars marks which forces her to wear pantyhose all the time during photoshoots because she does not want those scars to spoil her appearance.

She also commented that she wears Guardian or Cherilon Sheer Support type because it is almost invincible except for the toe part which is a little ulgly due to the reinforced toe seams. I ask how about Guardian Sheer Sandal Toe Pantyhose, she commented it is good that is so sheer like second skin to the legs with invincible toes but it tears too easily and could only wear for one time only.

I gave her some Megna Pincai ultra sheer support sandal toes pantyhose to evaluate during her next photoshoots. She was very happy to do the evaluation and will later give feedbacks on how the performance of the pantyhose. I was in Guardian for the New Year Sale with every purchase of RM100.00 you get RM10 cash voucher on the 1st January 2011. Guess what... I notice lots of OL office ladies queue up buying Guardian Sheer Support Pantyhose Color 21 charcoal. One of them is an AirAsia stewardess and the other is an Accountant. I ask them why they choose the Sheer Support type and not the Sheer type. Their reasons simply because it is natural to the skin tone and it is very comfortable compare to the sheer type.

Yes... Sydney is wearing the non glossy version code is 2300 of Megna Pincai Classic Pantyhose with the Red Cheong Sum.

This new design pantyhose now have double sew seam from the waist belt to the crotch area which is design to promote easy stretch at the butt area from runs and ladder.

No wonder it lasted two weeks per pair on the average wearings. Being very elastic and stretchable it does not runs easily compare to the Guardian Sheer Support Pantyhose from Cherilon International.
