my 4870GS i operating at 49-51C idle 565rpm fan speed.
under load never exceed 63C
and under load the fan oso run at 1k RPM only
if set the fan max can get around 7C less

Added on September 25, 2008, 8:28 ami just did some adjustment in my CM690 due to the way 4870GS channel it's hot air
got noticeable 2-3C drop in temperature



with the fan now blowing the hot air out of the case from the side. you can even use it to warm you hand on cold days

GAINWARD 4870 GS IS FINE

To all Gainward 4870 GS users, this card does NOT have any problems related to blackouts during gaming. So if you do encounter blackouts, it's probably due to other reasons (improperly installed drivers, games, OS, loose connectors etc).

Please try to use the latest CCC 8.9 for 4870 GS. Also, switch up to Turbo Mode only when your PC is OFF.

i also worried that my mobo cant detect the GPU(4670)... ytd just bought new hdd and my mobo cant detect it... do so many thing- bout 1 hr only get it done...

i think ur upcoming gc doesnt have problem with ur current mobo.
i know someone who use 9800 gt on abit 945 chipset mobo that has those built in graphic and it can detect it just fine.

I've tested my 4870 gs.Everything is fine now!

i tested with world in conflict.cod4.and grid.

but i already get rid of the stock earphone and use my philips on it and it much better.

tried DMC4 dx10 ... super high quality 8xAA 1280x720 .. no prob for >6 hours gameplay

mine is slightly different..got quite a big screen...not bad lah...yea getting rid of that earpiece soon...
