i'm going there on 9-12th Jan

Bandung....nice for its Factory outlets........nice cool weather....nice mount takuban perahu.....friendly beautiful people ......cheap lux restaurants........but must be a bit careful on roadside stall, silap mkn, cirit birit..... but overall bandung is a nice place to visit......from bandung take a car to bogor....go to tmn safari.....

I am going to Bandung via Jakarta from 14 until 19 Feb. Any tips?

You travel by train from Jakarta to Bandung?

Actually you dun have to book the hotel, can just go there and walk in. Dago Hills area is nice.
Or there is 1 reasonable hotel near the Heritage Factory outlet, dunno wat's the name, but can go to look for it.

Train from Jakarta to Bandung, executive class i think around RM 30, now may be cheaper if IDR dropped.

Looks for Argo Gede train, which only executive class. These ticket cannot be booked online. The easier way is to go to Gambir Train Station and buy it yourself. From Airport can use Damri bus directly to Gambir Station, cost around RM 4-5 only.

Planned to go to Jakarta-Bandung-Jakarta in July...but seems the airfare is more expensive compared to Bandung-Jakarta-Bandung...hmmm

Agree! Jakarta to bandung very convenient. Somemore if u shop a lot in bandung, better just fly back to msia.

Bandung to Indonesians is known as Penang to Malaysians. Yes..the Bandung food is the best in Indonesia. if a Bandung guy say the food is good at a ceratin restaurant...you can be asusured it is...as Bandung people are very fussy about food quality.

i've go to bandung last may...really very nice place compare to jakarta...

guys. planning to go bandung end of this year with my family around 10ppl.. so need to know which hotel do u recommend for family? preferebly nice, clean and cheap

btw, how far is Dago from Bandung city centre?
