i oledi try,, 245 oledi cnt boot,, 240 still ok..
if 240x10.5 oni 2.52GHz oni,..
if really 1na push,mayb wait ltr i buy cpu cooler n change to performance ram 1st
if not use 2.5GHz oni lor..




aft c u all de comment,, i thk i will stick with my x3..
it really more chalenge to oc..,, still nid consider NB bside HT...
and the DRAM calculation oso totally diff frm x2..
or in other word say quite tough to oc.. but nice to try...

Can use other ram speed divider like 667 or 533 if u really wan to push higher ...i think ur problem is no the ram but is the n/b freg multiplier.
Bout the n/b freg u better ask bro ah_khoo

nono.. act i oledi tune my NB&HT to keep at around 1800(default) and ram around 800(default)..
eg: if i use bus speed 300,, thn
1. cpu>> x8 = 2400
2. NB/HT>> x6= 1800
3. memory clk>> x2.66= 789

frm the theory this should b a stable value,, but it fail to boot..
by using the same concept,, i apply to lower bus speed like 255,250,245
thats all oso cnt be boot,, oni can boot for 240..

finally i use 238...

this is my 2nd rig result...can't go higher..any help to make it go higher???

from reading ur ss ur proc is F2 3800 with 89w tdp and stock vcore is 1.35v
i think cannot oc very high. if can oc to 2.8g is edy good enuf

Make sure the HT link dont over 1000mhz

but i can only 2.5ghz only..after that when i up my fsb to 260...my windows cannot boot...

btw..what the higher vcore can be achieve for this proc?

depend how much temp ur cooler can hand it...normally with air cooling is below 1.55v

ok...right now i'm stand with 1.4 volt..my proc temp aroun 48-50'c


but..in stock vcore..temp also like same la...46-50'c

fyi, i was usin value ram when i owned a phenom system.

what bro digswell said could be rite, d BAR Edit only effective when windows is loaded, but when u power up ya rig, d nb multi will still be at its max, that'mite b d reason why u can't boot. why not u try cpu multi @ 10 (or lower) to check whether 245 is ya htt wall.

yup, one can always use lower divider to find out waht's d culprit. in my case b4, i used ddr400 (lowest) as i found that my chip didn't like low divider, especially 533...

can u try 10*245 with ddr400 on ya ram?

NB&HT at default it is x9 ,,if 245 mean NB will be 2286 to boot,, mayb this is the wall for MB.... this proc i thk wil go further if the NB can control in BIOS..

but really no idea with ASUS M3A78-EM... cnt tune NB in bios...

whn i using BAR Edit it make my rig spend quite much time for startup aft enter window...

F2 are not very overclockable..

same like mu 38+ F2...can go 2.8Ghz with 1.45Vcore...

better to use higher multi.. coz this is not intel, n summore u will face HTT wall very faster
