can somebody help me on tuning NB freq for ASUS M3A78-EM socket?
i'm using phenomx3 8450, 2GB KINGSTON DDRII 800
face with NB freq prob whn i OC my proc...

aft i can tune the NB freq,, i OC my phenomx3 8450 to 2.46GHz..

everyting is stable nw,,.. mayb can OC more aft this...

but b4 that i need change my cpu cooler to make sure its temp not going too high..

since i use lousy casing,, i cnt use too big cpu cooler,, it will not fit for my casing(powerlogic futura 250)

but if i dun OC too much,i thk it will ok for me to oni add on side panel fan for it,,,(80mm&120mm)

i hvn try n oso dunoe hw far it can go.. ur is 255? using wat ram?

i ever try 300*8 to get 2400 sharp,, but cnt boot..lol..

i use kingstan value,, mayb oso not far can go..

erm..abt the voltage,, i oso dunoe hw care abt it .. any guides?

i js use phenomx3 8450 near a month,, if i change proc to AMD X2 5000+ AM2 Black Edition.. it will more nice to oc,, but its ok? consider down gred..?
who can tell tell performence b/tween 8450 n 5000+ BE,,..

but thn 5000+ OC'ed 3GHz de performence can beter thn 8450 OC'ed maa?

if 240x10.5 oni 2.52GHz oni,..
if really 1na push,mayb wait ltr i buy cpu cooler n change to performance ram 1st
if not use 2.5GHz oni lor..




aft c u all de comment,, i thk i will stick with my x3..
it really more chalenge to oc..,, still nid consider NB bside HT...
and the DRAM calculation oso totally diff frm x2..
or in other word say quite tough to oc.. but nice to try...

nono.. act i oledi tune my NB&HT to keep at around 1800(default) and ram around 800(default)..
eg: if i use bus speed 300,, thn
1. cpu>> x8 = 2400
2. NB/HT>> x6= 1800
3. memory clk>> x2.66= 789

frm the theory this should b a stable value,, but it fail to boot..
by using the same concept,, i apply to lower bus speed like 255,250,245
thats all oso cnt be boot,, oni can boot for 240..

finally i use 238...

mean if using BAR Edit sure will cnt OC too high speed lor,,
NB&HT at default it is x9 ,,if 245 mean NB will be 2286 to boot,, mayb this is the wall for MB.... this proc i thk wil go further if the NB can control in BIOS..

but really no idea with ASUS M3A78-EM... cnt tune NB in bios...

whn i using BAR Edit it make my rig spend quite much time for startup aft enter window...
mayb wait for bios update will help this..?? ASUS fast help me..!!!!!!

i nw oso dint use the onboard gfx n oso no crossfire.. (the crossfire oni allow for low ended ati 2400 n 3400 series oni)

but,, my MB js 1 month age...

but it will hv prob bcos the bar edit oni wrk aft enter window...

example: if i use 245x10 for cpu
it will cause 245x9 for NB,, n will fail to boot...
