IF FKLI cannot hold 962 support level, we will see another leg down for CI.

Still have few hours to go..

VIX is the ticker symbol for the Chicago Board Options Exchange Volatility Index, a popular measure of the implied volatility of S&P 500 index options. Referred to by some as the fear index, it represents one measure of the market's expectation of volatility over the next 30 day period.

Cherroy,

It could be possible that the big fish is getting out first. Might be a politcal event happening soon.
*
yep, I anticipate either another BN component pulling out or another detention .

I did trade, but I stay sideline for months already. Was very active during 2006-2007.
Because I would rather sit aside watching the 'show', as there is no incentive for me to take the high risk in this current situation. You don't know what you are going to get when wake up each morning.
*
exactly, sometimes seat aside and watch the show is a kind of enjoyment too.

you lose nothing, you win nothing (maybe get to catch an exciting market show could be something cherish too, lol)

QUOTE(cherroy @ Sep 18 2008, 10:56 AM)
Having said that, the market dip a little too fast for the last few days, so technical rebound can be seen in the next 1 or 2 days, even though it wants to plummet further.
*
emmm about the same thing as what Adam sees from the chart
a rebound is expected when CI comes to 960-970

If Vix more than 40, now around 30+, then it can be called market capitulation already. Time to buy for short term bounds.

Look at history, market did crash from time to time, but those crash after 5-10 + years, it was seen as opportunities. The more worry is market didn't crash but drift lower and lower. A sudden crash might be better, short term pain rather than long term pain. Some company won't worth nothing even there is severe economy recession, eg. Coke, Mcdonalds.

Too add another point is that, today US SEC will start to curb naked short selling on stock and demand those short sell to deliver the stocks after 3 days for clearing settlement, which might potentially put a halt of US market sliding.
