Even if KLCI drop an average 10 points each day, we still wont see 900points until next month.

Is it possible for someone to list down how an investor can take advantage on a bearish stock market?

I know some of these are:

1) Put Option (shorting)
2) Short selling
3) Forex?
4) Commodities (eg Gold) ?

genting,ioi,pb...good to come...

Selling puts, too risky especially now when many companies are off 20% average

Short selling, the safest so far for KLCI.

Forex, too volatile, too many news influence the direction of major pairs.

Commodities, i will stay away from gold.

Actually, this is the best time to do research on which stocks you want to purchase. Fear is a good thing.

Seems like quite a broad based sell off without specific corporate bad news. I suspect some foreign funds are unwinding their positions in Malaysia.

my favourite bank is going down to 9.60

i shall hold on first.
