what is a betta's best tank mate?
And should the tank be naked or planted?

Just googled:
1. loaches
2. neons
3.sebra snails
4.Plecos
5. african dwarf frogs

And also saw these beauties thumbup.gif thumbup.gif

Neon tetras shld b fine.. As long as your tank is not overcrowded, ure betta won't attack them. My marimos is my betta's best mate, he loves hiding in between them..

Try YouTube n search betta tanks.. U'll see plenty of beautiful betta tank setups

did u condition the female properly?

i fed it with frozen bloodworm..and then keep the female in the smaller bottle inside a bigger tank with the male being able to see it and swim around it for a few days.then release them together after i see some bubbles made by the male.. but when i observe they dun make any eggs, then i separate them in the end... sad.gif

"aged water"?
water you collected(in pail or whatever) and leave it for at least a day...reason behind is for chlorine to "evaporate"
